Get that Glandore isn’t the best place to bowl spin but being grand finalists and Shaun Tait taking over its an interesting time to move.

Maybe looking for a ground a bit bigger at long on/long off....

Yep, basically that's true.

Been told by Redbacks they want him still involved in Emerging squad (more net bowlers!!) but should look at moving as spinners not suited at Glandore. Also told him he needs to bowl more (hard when Valente is captain and bowls from one end all day!). Has few options of clubs after him (was going to Glenelg last year), but East Torrens the likely one at this stage.

Agreed - Glandore way too small for a spinner. In fact way too small altogether. He probably got sick of being put into the neighbouring backyards!
East Torrens don't really have a recognised spinner so probably makes sense.

Fun fact re Glandore.....it is no smaller square of the wicket than Glenelg, where it falls down is straight.....by about 30 metres!

Spot on - most grounds have a short boundary on one side depending on where the pitch is prepared on the square, but the straight boundaries are tiny and way too short at Glandore. Apparently in the U/19s when the kid from NSW made 200 and hit six 6s in one over, most of them were mishits that only just fell over the line.

Spot on Cullen was a great bowler at Glandore. Pope took 6 a couple of years ago. Cormack isnt good enough bowls too fast doesnt turn it. Had everything handed to him by SACA and still an average club bowler. Doesnt take wickets on big grounds and still goes for runs. Needs to have a look at himself rather than blame Glandore. Adelaide will be better of without him.

Not just an average bowler but some reports an average bloke as well in terms of on-field behaviour?

Heard two completely different rumours re the two new Redbacks signings.

One is both of them going to East Torrens (those new facilities seem appealing to new recruits!!).

The other is Hunt is going to Kensington and Agar going to West Torrens.

They may be living together here so think going to East Torrens may be closer to the truth.

Also heard rumour Kelvin Smith off to Western Australia, hope he smashes it over there and shoves it up SACA!!

What has SACA done wrong by him? He's played 20 shield games and averages 20, there has been opportunity.

You have to look more closely at how they treated him, not just that stat which is misleading.

Last year when in the best form of his career never got a go despite everyone failing game after game. So what do they do, give him a game at the GABBA against a pink swinging ball on a green deck, he actually top scored with 20 and battled for ages, game was over in 2 days. Then faced best attack in comp Victoria.

Last year had to face pink ball again at night against Starc/Hazelwood, and same happened the year before that. If he got a fair go batting on Adelaide Oval he would make runs. Compared to lots of other guys he has been harshly treated.

At 24 years of age he is in prime of his life for a batsmen, so I hope he tears it up over there!

Cooooorrect!

He's also never really been afforded an extended stay in the side to settle and find his feet.

Don't think Georgey did get a contract this year. Initial reports were he was staying in QLD though.

Hopefully he does come back to SA as would be big in for the Eagles!
