Had a back injury through winter so was slightly underdone at the start of the season. Should be right now though

Going from a good, fast bouncy wicket to one of the flattest pitches in the competition was probably an error though

Some big winners and losers from today:
- TTG knocking off a strong Uni team is massive
- ET chasing down the Bays 338 is a fork in the road moment for both clubs
- Sturt dropping that game all but sinks them. Cossie's still got it.
- Kensington needed a win after losing 3 on the bounce
- The post-Turley Prospect era has started ok. Eagles struggling
- Southerns early season pretenders? Adelaide leap to the top, in ominous form

110 Adelaide*
100 Uni*
100 East Torrens
85 Tea Tree Gully

80 Kensington*
80 Woodville
65 Glenelg
65 Southern District
50 Northern Districts*
40 Sturt
25 West Torrens*
20 Port Adelaide
20 Prospect*

* bye to come

Close game in the Bs too!

Jets were 7/238 chasing Sturt's 240... then lost 3/1 to lose by 1 run. Amazing

Reminds me of a game back in the early 80's when I was a young lad scoring for Sturt at then called Hawthorn oval.
Sturt B grade made about 165, and TTG (I think), lost 5 for 1, to lose by 1 run. A bloke named Stephen Rule took 4/0 in 2 overs.

There was a famous grand final maybe late 90s where Adelaide went to tea on Day 2 needing a handful of runs. Then Peter McIntyre took a bunch of wickets for next to nothing to win it. Anyone remember the details?

1995/96
Yea the photos and story are on the walls @ TTG still.

tea was taken with only 4 runs needed with 4 wickets in hand (I am led to believe that the batters at the time were offered if they would like to take tea and they accepted.

After tea Woodcock and McIntyre operated for approx 10 or so overs and Woodcock bowled 4 or 5 maidens from one end while peter Mac took the wickets at the other.
Was TTG's first A flag.

I played in a under 16's semi final where the opposition needed 2 runs to win with 3 wickets and our bowler took a hat-trick. Massive scenes.

I see Liam O'Connor played for Prospect on Saturday

Will any other Strikers squad players get farmed out?

Cant see any other interstate players on the Strikers list not making a 13 man squad for each game, so doubt it.

Some really low scores in today's games.

I didn't get out to see any play anywhere, but I assuming the rain juiced things up a bit and bowling first was the best option

I was at the bay this morning... C’s called off at about 12.15. I believe the A’s got a game in after. A bit of grass on the deck, but nothing outrageous.
