unfortunately smithy you are 100% correct.....sadly!!!! SCA used to be a great comp but sadly due to some clubs disinterest in attending meetings the writing on the wall became much clearer.

Also theres NO excuse for bad sportsmanship for ANY reason on the cricket field.Blatant cheating is no excuse. Its a tough game and the cricket gods always even up. Its not a game for the undisciplined,or the whinging few.

Wasnt using it as an excuse, just explaining the reason for the suspension... I agree theres no excuse for bad sportsmanship regardless, unfortunately we dont live in a perfect world and theres NEARLY always one or two more people within any sporting club that get "white line fever" and take the game too serious.

SCA committee meeting tonight...lets see what happens there.

we(noarlunga) played trials against Aldinga which are played in good spirit.
After losing our grand finals last season we had a few drinks with the winning side(Porties A's and B's. as well as Flaggies after T20) but still people that have no clue acuse us of being pricks and unsociable. If Noarlunga are like that I wouldnt be playing there.
Stop living in the past people.

rob mccard (stingrays) and leon hanson (porties)
scott brown (porties) to willunga this season.
they would have to be premiership favourites
adding a quick bowler, a keeper/batter and an alcoholic
to their squad.

wouldnt go so far as to say their favourites. bays having picked up Evans, Kuss and M. Overall to add to their side from last year tells me they will be around the $1.30 mark at the start of the year.

Not quite Vaas. What about the recent signings of S. Katich and S. Tait to McLaren Districts?

Can the last person at Goolwa turn the lights off on the way out!!

Would be disappointing if Goolwa were to lose anyone. Although the win / loss wasn't all that good last year, they certainly gave a good account for themsleves at times with a young group. A bit of batting support, and maybe some guidance from some experienced guys would have them a bit stronger..

I doubt Evans to the Bays...

Maybe Tony could get on to him

g'day all, long time listener, first time caller, love the show!

we're still on the 10/11 thread and the rumour mill is cranking! gotta love the offseason!

Following on from that - katich, tait, any other national contract discards that the GSCA will give a lifeline to? :D

scrap that, if anyone mentions michael beer's name after i do, even as a joke.....wow!
although left arm orthodox was a wicket taking mechanism in the season just gone, i do believe Port Elliot have had such a created void vacated for the upcoming season...
