Sedunary to Sollies, Brown to South Port.

Sollies started traing last Wednesday, Props start tonight. Risdon will probably hit the nets in mid January.

What else is going on?

Mate Risdon might start training in January but they were the most succesful club last season finishing runner up in the Agrade to the fuchs and winning the Bgrade title with ease.

Risdon have some handy recruits, the Agrade will no doubt become stronger and they will start chipping away at the Fuch's cricket club (opps I meant Props).

Sollies Agrade will become stronger picking a few up.

Quiet from the Wandies / Southport camps at the moment.

My early predictions for the season:

Straight Talker to captain the combined side.
Lloydy to give precisely 0 LBWs when Wandies are batting.
Brad Pine to go back to back with another Grewar Medal win.
Props to dominate selection for combined sides irrespective of form (I know I know Im not going out on a limb there).
Sollies B Grade to create a record by having 11 captains on the park at the same time.
Risdon to have the recruit of the year.
Peter Bessen to be B Grade leading run scorer.
Lenny Starke to emotionally dispute a 'controversial' decision.
The Recorder's columnists to tip Wandies in every game they play.
Port Germein Sharks to host a round of Beach Cricket for double points due to 5 games being washed out.

Just saw the proposed draw and I see Props are playing in a 20/20 challenge in whyalla on behalf of the PPCA...
Correct me if Im wrong but arent Risdon reigning 20/20 champions of Port Pirie?

Looking forward to seeing how Risdon back up their highly successful 2010/2011. Premiership in the B's and runner up in the A's- all from a club who is a relatively small player in the competition. Both teams are as closely knit as they come, and the club as a whole is easily the best one to be a part of in the league.

You are slightly wrong. That competition was a Mid-North 20/20 competition.

You'd think the reigning champions would have a chance to defend their title, instead of a bigger club from the same town just pushing in.

Perhaps we can install pokies in JC's back shed and establish ourselves as a bigger club so we can get equal treatment?

Now that I think about it you are correct AD.

In other news I understand Craig Oliphant may captain Props' B Grade.
Theres a lot of talent in that team for sure. Is he the leader that side needs? I dont know.

Any news on whether Leigh Warwick will head back to Warnertown?

Would love to see Leigh Warwick back at Warnertown. I'd gather they'd be pretty disappointed in sitting out the business end last year while their main rivals in that grade took out the shield and they'd be keen to re-establish themselves as the big fish in the small pond.

On Craig Oliphant: I don't know, he's definitely a respected cricketer but Props B grade always seems a bit of a "boys club". Will the Hollywood crew respond well to him?

I've heard this. Doubtful Gray would leave given the core of the RCC B grade side have been his friends since childhood, including the captain.

Anderson- I'm not sure about. Weren't the whispers that he would be joining up with Risdon?

What are these stories about Laz and Murphy, Sky Pilot?

Had lunch in the Sporties yesterday and a bloke - similar to a retired Solly player - asked me if I knew anything about it and I said No. Because I don't.

Rob Anderson plays Softball so he is only good for morning games (Bgrade). He is known to go missing during the season. Would be a handy pickup for whoever gets him but they must not lie all their hopes on him.

Nice to see Senate road has new pitches for the Bgrade.

Does anyone know if there are any rules about the use of the nets at Port oval?
The sign there says "Clubs SA" bets, so am i right in saying anyone can use them given that Port is a Community Club?
