Burra lose their last four on the trot to drop into second place on the final day of the minor round and lose the home final in week 1. Pekina chased down 150 at Booleroo to win their way into week 1 of the finals.
Orroroo (1) vs Burra (2) @ Orrorro winner straight into the GF, loser into the prelim
Spalding (3) vs Pekina (3) @ Spalding winner into the prelim, loser knocked out.

That's a great run chase by Pekina. Reckon Booleroo would have been quite confident making 150.

whufc wrote:Pekina got up over Spalding in absolute classic sadly for us.....
Spalding bowled out for 97, exactly what we deserved in a poor batting performance. 3 blokes out off full tosses and an incredible direct hit run out.
A lot of fight was shown though and Pekina got the runs 9 down with 5 balls to spare.... Declan Duffy with a match winning innings.
In the other game Orroroo have made it to the GF easily beating Burra which was their fifth straight defeat.
Next week Burra and Pekina do battle to make it in the GF.

Venue for Burra v Pekina?
GF at Orroroo or neutral?

Sadly Spalding have lost Isaac Pearce after he did an ACL in footy this year and requires a knee reconstruction.
Spalding to start the year slow with a few players away and end of year footy trip causing some disruption.
Would think Orroroo would start early favourites.

I've heard nothing from Booleroo way, except that the crops look sensational!

Do they reduce the overs in hot weather? Or just soldier on?

If forecast at Pirie to be under 40 we play. Every game is 40 overs a side. The weekend forecast was for 39 so we played.
Us and Booleroo were discussing on the weekend that we wouldn't mind the idea though if the weather is say 38-40 we play but its t20.

Weak! Pirie comp rule is 42
not sure if heaps of people would be keen on traveling to play t20 less chance of getting a bat/bowl
