So you could do 3,2,1 or 3,3 or 2,2,2 or 3,1,1,1 etc.
Amazing how many captains wouldn't pass the slips around, just do their own votes x3 and give themselves 9 fielding votes for the match.
Changed it last year - now we given 5-4-3-2-1 and only one slip.. mostly introduced for jnrs and womens but i liked how it turned out.
With assoc votes - i NEVER gave the fielding votes to the w/k.. every week teams did coz it was easy + someone they could remember.. but i reckon if you're the w/k it's your job to be good in the field FFS.

I actually took mine seriously and if they picked two doilers from my side I'd just change them anyway to who did deserve them.

That's my recollection of assoc votes too

Does he still leave after batting and not field?

We played Keswick in a T20 on Tuesday just gone and he played. Keswick batted second, he was run out and left after getting out. Apparently it's still a weekly occurrence.Brodlach wrote:Booney wrote:I see Doubleday is still slaughtering teams in Section 6...

ROUND ROBIN: A win earns 6 points. An undecided match 3 points each. A loss 1 point. In determining finals contenders first points, then Head to Head, then Net Run Rate, then Performance Quotient and then coin toss will be used.
By reading this, a team which finishes above another on percentage but lost to the lower team in the round robin misses out?
Doesn't make much sense to me nor do I agree with that concept...

Thank you to all the clubs who have made suggestions about how to play out the season. Summaries of your responses are attached.
The Executive have decided to play Round 11 as a 2 day game.
Jan 15 there were 5600 new cases in SA. Yesterday there were less than 2000.
The Executive is keen for the Finals to take place at the end of March as planned.
The Executive is keen for 2 day games to continue to allow for outright results and the integrity of the 7 + 7 competition to be maintained as much as possible.
According to Michael who talked with David Heyzer Adelaide Turf in their just completed (though rain affected) 2 day game for 80 teams had 15 to 20 requests for covid replacements something we believe can be managed under our new powers.
We know there are already and will be difficulties with some clubs. Please tell us. Some matches may be abandoned Day 1 to be played as 1day games Day 2.
The Executive will make a decision on R12 in 2 weeks.
