Rest got warnings.
Retractions made as wrong people accused on our side.

Currently playing GM this game again, and have been appointed an umpire.
In fact, adjacent to us is GM A grade playing ICC in section 4, and they have an umpire appointed too.

A big dust up in section 8 Mitchell Park v Kenilworth according to the umpire we had yesterday.

A very big ban coming is the rumour.

Also section 6 game abandoned yesterday between Mitchell Park and Southern Warriors at Brighton Primary school, so hopefully everything is ok there.

Congratulations to WYC winning back the David Lee shield yesterday against Morphy Park.

The fact that Keswick play on a piece of crap turf deck is a blight on the association. If it was a good deck, fair enough. But Sheidow, a team that went two years without losing a game, loses outright, losing all 20 wickets on day 2. What a joke.

100% agree with you.

Not because of the Sheidow Park result, but because it's a hard wicket comp.

Keswick took their juniors to a turf comp 2-3 years ago, but returned after 1 year.
They struggle to retain junior players as most of them leave when they are eligible for seniors, and head to turf comps, or district.

The changes in district cricket age groups and playing days that are being planned for next season is going to affect community cricket club's massively.

More than a year ago Coromandel raised their concerns with the joke of a pitch in a written letter to the executive. They read it, offered Keswick the right of reply and decided they’re ok with teams losing outright because of a terribly curated pitch.

Kaushik has said Sutton Derby don’t have a team for Saturday and are withdrawing.



Under SMR 12 (b) that means teams that won outright against Sutton Derby will have their points reduced to 6 instead of 11.

That pitch is yet another farce allowed by the Exec of ASCA.

Plympton have had a pretty tough year. Majority of the team were expecting to play C's in section 9 but have ended up in a much higher div that they are up to. For most of the year they played with smiles and a had a laugh while knowing they were going to get smashed week in week out. Looks like the drive to North Haven was a stretch to far.

That being said it is poor of them to forfeit.

What about outgoing? My 17yo son ain't getting a game this weekend but I can get him a game elsewhere, obviously being in his first year of senior cricket Im keen for him to play somewhere otherwise he will lose interest I feel

My understanding is no players can be cleared to play for another club now. A new player with no history at a club may be able to but i don't think your situation will allow it. Unless he subfields & doesnt bat or bowl...

You would need to consult the Association where he may play to find out if he can. Most Associations have a clearance cut-off for in-coming players but there are a few Associations which don't. ASCA is end of January, ATCA is end of December, PDCA is a floating cut-off as the player must be able to qualify for finals, BLCA never used to have a cut-off as they didn't recognise other Associations, the Hills comps I don’t know.
