Yes agreed. We had 6 there when the day was called off at 12.50 and the opposition captain over heard our captain on the phone telling the guys that weren't there to turn around and don't worry about coming, so he tried for a forfeit.

A day to forget.
We had a no show, so had 10 to play with. One lad made 30 then opened the bowling and got ill 2 overs in throwing up and went off. Another lad had the ball smashed back at him and busted his hand so we lost him too. Finished the game with 8 and they got the runs 2 wickets down.
Last weeks carry on was a bit forgotten I think with what was going on. Although their spirit of cricket points may have a bit on the low side!

I'm interested to know what happened with the bowling - did two 'Roys lads break down? I see Pig only bowled 1.4 overs, and Safir 1.2 overs.

*edit* didn't see above

Fair effort in Section 5 on the weekend.

ICC Sharks 4/234

def.

Port Noarlunga 21

J Brooker 8.5 overs, 6 maidens, 10/6.

I don't care what grade you're playing, taking a 10 fa is outstanding.

OUCH.... I thought this may have evaded the forums. :-)

This effort was on Day one of a 2 dayer (29th of February), He went wicketless day 2 :D

Jason bowled very well day one from the Southern End of the Port and had the perfect breeze. Being a left hander, he was swinging the ball in very late whilst bowling an immaculate line and length. He was very hard to face. Whilst Porties had a combination of a few youngsters making their debut and some old timers punching above their weight, his spell of bowling was outstanding and his 10 wicket haul thoroughly deserved.

Fair enough and good by the association to punish them.

I do all our Mycricket stuff and nothing annoys me more when people suggest to play guys under fake names when we need to fill a side. It's been done in the past but now I go out of my way to make sure it will never happen at my club while I'm in control of our Mycricket, especially after the association made an example of Kenilworth a few seasons ago

Current Mt Lofty FC coach took 10 wickets in an A grade HCA game back in the 90's, was on 9 fa and dropped a catch off the other blokes bowling, next over got his 10 fa
