Ok is there any legs in this from the Para Districts thread....

Hearing a few guys in Adelaide turf are finding out if there can be a court injunction on the compulsory helmets rule....
Not sure how far they’ll get but let’s hope they win cause helmets are crap!!!

No one is forcing anyone to wear a helmet. It's a voluntary cricket comp. If you don't want to wear one, don't play. You're free to play BLCA if you don't want to wear one.

Heck, even still, you're free not to wear one in ATCA, it just means your team will lose all its points. Still, the choice is yours.

Seriously, what a bunch of knobs. In this day and age of people suing associations, there was little choice but to bring in the rule, especially after what happened with Hughes a few years back. Get on board and wear a helmet or go play elsewhere.

Ingle Farm would have to go in favs dis yr surely? PAC will be hard to beat. Unsure on who will be relegated tough tight competition dis yr!!

I'm not sure why you think Ingle Farm would go in favourites. They have picked up a few players, but still a question mark on their batting. PAOC and Pooraka were miles ahead of the rest last year and we'll have to wait and see if they are both weakened by players leaving.

recruited tony Scott (A2 medallist) 2 seasons ago and also a spinner which they needed badly and hes the best spinner in adel turf. Pooraka losing Marks will hurt. Ingle Farm and PAC GF for mine... will be daylight ahead then Pooraka then the rest.

Leverock(WT)and Perelli(Uni) will be tough holes to fill at Walkerville.

Hanson maybe missing the first game for Pooraka and playing A grade at Northern Districts. Andy Lee has signed at Pooraka also which should give them some batting depth.

I heard a few of them were lining up for northerns round 1 before ATCA season kicks off but none of them named last night so not sure what happened.

Alex Frick has been signed by Pooraka from what i hear.

Regardless they'll be allowed to continue this season, but talking to a couple of them seems the council may be open to them leasing the ground each summer moving forward.

Whether they're allowed access to the clubrooms though I dont know.

I think Payneham won't feature come finals time... Reynella will see this as their year to get promoted back to A1 but can they be consistent enough to do so, will be the question

Hope Valley is going to be hard to beat with Sykes and Wilkins being their standouts and would expect big things from them at the A2 level.

Flinders Park is another that should feature come finals time expecting big things from Overall

Unley is a big unknown - Woodville South are going to rely heavily again on Hoffman and you would expect him to have a bigger year than last year and start earning those $$

Woody Rec - and the only sure thing other than death and taxes is that Duffet will continue to carry this side with the bat and will go close to finals based on this.

ROC - really unsure have heard nothing on their front will be interesting to see how they go - bottom 4 likely if they haven't picked up anyone

Golden Grove will be interesting to see how they go in their second year in A2 - Whitehead, Anderson, and Higgins are keys but their year will be determined on how there 4,5,6,7 players stand up.

Old Igs and SHOC both coming up will perform well enough but one of these teams may find that they re fighting for relegation at the end of the year.

i think Iggs bowling will be strong enough, it will be their batting that could be a killer.

No Rosenthal for Wood Rech hurts, young team will rely heavily on Duffett and Behrendt
Flinders Park batting is strong.

You are right about about Sykes and Wilkins, should and will have big seasons.
You missed Fulham, Big Pom hasn’t returned but they will be around the mark with both Adcocks playing.
Harvey will bowl bulk overs and bat high so expect Woody South to improve. They need a quick to stand up with the new ball.
SHOC will go ok.
Top 4 -Hope Valley, Fulham, Flinders Park, Reynella
Bottom 4- Unley, Golden Grove, ROCS,Payneham
