The real deal.
Duffett will have to make 160 to chase that down.

What are your Thoughts on getting rid of the Association matches and play a North v South ATCA match at Karen Rolton Oval. 45 over match
Find a sponsor. Pay players to participate. $100 each or something. Extra $100 for BOG. No one over 40 plays.
Teams something like this( very little study)
North- Bailey, Carson, Forwood, Hanson, Wordsworth, McLean, Beaty, Sykes, Harvey, Sandery, Hillier
South- Latchford, Cox, Perilli, Hurburgh, Payne, Knowles, Leverock, Dent,Barnes, Fox, Clayfield,

Would actually be worth going to watch.

Yep sound idea. Get rid of these irrelevant SAMCA games no one goes too or cares about. Blokes play on turf not to play assoc games on hard wicket.
A second XI next door would be good too.

GG normally do their pitch prep on the Saturday morning not Thursday/Friday. Normally have some life in them early.
That said, it appears Reynella got to 1/52 so perhaps it was something else at play.

By the way, Tigerpie, can you get your lads to enter the FOWs correctly?

Doctoring the wicket when you dont know if your batting or bowling? This is a new one.

GG do there pitch Tuesday, Thursday night and Sat morning if needed, think you will find they might have a issue with there roller on Thursday night breaking down.

Sorry i might have got the day wrong the roller broke down, i know i heard that it had broke down so i thought it must have been Thursday night as that is when i see him sitting on it, they also do it Fridays and sat morning if needed, to say they dont try their best to prepare a wicket is not fair on the hard work that gets done out there.

I heard the roller broke down so they hand rolled it. A very light hand roller.
Apparently, and I've seen the bruises, it turned to dust in 5 overs.
Balls jumping off a length, and little explosions when the ball pitched.
The umpires have stated that it has to be prepared the exact same way this week.
We bowled a lot of fulltosses on leg I'm told hence gg's score.

If there's puffs of dust that sounds like a watering & grass coverage issue more than a broken roller issue

Some decks starting to struggle, especially where they have lots of kid's games played too

Think the recent hot weather has finally caught up with the curators getting caught out lacking moisture in the square mid week before the first serious roll. Lots of wickets around the place had 'tennis ball' bounce on the weekend.

Or the roller, I'm told a sand filled one, wasn't heavy enough to seal it.
I went a little far with the water on ours. Did a bit all day.
