noticing a trend with SPOC and PAOC being seen as threats above. have we got inside knowledge on recruitment?

Para Hills still the side to beat. losing Harvey isnt ideal but Cam will be a handy get

Every year the same teams get suggested.
It was refreshing to see Flinders Park give it a crack last year.
It was a very even comp last year, you’d expect the same again.

I think PAOC get mentioned a lot cause they seem to be there abouts every year.
In the 13 years they've been in A1 in this current stint, they've played finals 10 of those 13 years.
Last year's 7th was the lowest they've finished.
7 of the 13 seasons they played in the Grand Final.

With that in mind I think it's only natural for people to have them front of mind.

Having said that, I think they'll struggle this year and the whispers are they'll be missing a lot of their regulars from last year, with as many as 6 blokes who played half he games or more last year, not playing A-grade this season.

I think last year SPOC were a team that finished lower then you would of thought, they had an up and down year, but still have some very good players.

Any PAOC side with Dent and Latch is always going to be threatening in my opinion, If they fire they are capable of carrying a team along I believe.

We at the Hills are pretty happy with Cammo of coarse and Tom Parton moving back from Sydney and re joining us is also huge, he is a class act, but we have lost 3 players from last years side and that impacts any body, so It will be interesting to see how quickly we can gel again and pursue another finals finish.

is there much word out of the Farmers, Flinders and Woody South, Grange obviously with a few handy pick ups as well. Makes for an interesting season

Interesting to hear who they’ve brought in?
After such a poor year you’d expect some ins, and walkerville being a class act you’d expect they’re some quality. They normally like to fish overseas?

The return of the Ginger Ninja will certainly boost the chances of Pooraka this year.

Looks like a good racehorse fresh up from a spell. 30+ wickets is my tip.

Is Mr OKC still going to be bullying A3 sides?

If you consider under 200 runs and less than 20 wickets bullying.

Then yes.

Is it true ATCA are exploring the option of forming a hard wicket comp next season as well to accommodate the clubs who are large and can't find turf decks for their lower grades / juniors?

ATCA have, for a number of seasons, allowed teams in the bottom two grades to play on a hard wicket.
Historically this has been on the condition that it was seen as a one off and the team was working out how to get onto turf the next year.

With that said, yes, I understand there has been a request to consider a more permanent hardwicket comp to be played under the ATCA banner.
Unsure if this will be purely hardwickets, or allowing a mixture of turf and hardwicket clubs in the same grade.

All ATCA clubs received a survey recently looking at options for the 22/23 season. In that survey the idea of a hardwicket comp was floated (albeit with very little detail).

So in short, yes.
