I think the ATCA have sent an email asking all clubs to do that.

With the decision of SACA calling off all SACA games this weekend the ATCA in respect of this decision will not allow any ATCA Club to field any SACA grade player as a dual registered player for this week’s game unless the club has previously notified the ATCA of its intension to do so.
In the Spirt of Cricket this decision is to be followed by all ATCA Clubs

It would appear we will proceed

So only dual registration players playing will be those with the bye in GC.

Will be interesting for the likes of Kensi LO1 and Adelaide Uni C1, LO1, LO2 who previously didn't have to notify the turf of grade players coming down, so wouldn't have advised them prior to the announcement.

Certainly not suggesting they will do anything untoward, but will be interesting to see the sides named.

Guessing if they are uncertain then they will ask. GC only had 1 dayers programmed so it's not like an A grader is dropping down because they are not available next week.

Tomorrow as much as the games might not be played at 100% i think we should play. I didn't know Hughes as most of us but I am sure he would not want the game to stop, we need to go out show its not going to beat us and move on, we are all feeling on edge but we all a 1 big association play the game and all show the respect to a bloke who has sadly lost his life to a game we all love

Correct Heli, however for clubs like Uni and Kensi which play over the two associations, they don't advise ATCA of players coming down. Therefore, it is unlikely they would have notified the turf before the announcement, in which case it becomes an interesting selection.

For example, if you look at the C1 side uni have listed, they have 5 guys named that have played SACA this year.
Then when you consider three of their "normal" C1 players (have played all three C1 games to date) have been omitted, people may start to ask questions.

If one of the 5 goes out and hits an 80+ type score, I'm sure questions will be asked.

Its tough Dragon but essentially it comes down to the individual really. Like any tragedy, people handle it differently. Personally, im pretty flat, but maybe getting out there and spending the afternoon doing something we enjoy with our mates we like to be around is a good thing? Only time will tell

Agreed. For some people the best thing will be getting around your mates.
For others, they'd prefer to take a week away from the game.

By games proceeding, everyone is given the opportunity to make their own decision.

Why are you so concerned?
It's a one dayer and it's the bottom end of cricket.
Your speculating as well.
