Cricket distinguishes between a tie and a draw, which are two possible results of a game:
A TIE is the identical result that occurs when each team has scored the same total number of runs after their allotted innings, ALL INNINGS BEING COMPLETED. This is very rare in Test cricket and has happened only twice in its long history, but they are slightly more commonplace in first-class and limited-overs matches.
A DRAW is the inconclusive result that occurs when the allotted playing time for the game expires WITHOUT THE TEAMS HAVING COMPLETED THEIR INNINGS. This is relatively common, occurring in 20-30% of Test matches with a perhaps higher percentage of first-class matches as they are scheduled for four days instead of five. Limited-overs matches cannot be drawn, although they can end with a no result if abandoned because of weather or other factors.

Correct.
There was definately a test between England and Zimbabwe awhile ago that ended with scores level and it was declared a draw. Think the Poms needed 240 to win and ended up 8/239 or something

I'd think 22 overs Max to bat, make as many as possible, 3 over change over then give 40 overs to bowl them out.

What a great weekend of A grade cricket , both games probably weren't the greatest batting displays but all 4 clubs couldn't of asked more from the bowling efforts. Bad luck to Freeling and Kapunda , both put up good fights especially Freeling to nearly win outright was a terrific effort.

But well done has to be said to the two most consistent teams in the comp this year. Angaston who have only lost 2 games plus the one day grand final for the year. And Sandy who are the only team to beat Angaston in all 3 outings but lost games to sides Angaston accounted for.

It's going to be a very interesting day. Surely Diener is licking his lips as he has made nearly half his runs for the year against Angaston. Is be getting to Stockport sat / sun as it could be the best GF in years.

Very good performance from Angaston on the weekend and a well deserved win. Had to work Saturday arvo so didn't see them bat but after speaking to a few guys it seemed like the Nuri outfield was a little slow and 160 was more like 180-200. Got there on Sunday and witnessed a very good bowling display, the lads never gave up but just couldn't get there in the end. Woodards seemed to have the ball on a string and the Kapunda batsmen had no answer.
Took the dog for a walk around Dutton Park Saturday morning and must say I was surprised the game got going there, deck was very juicy and uneven, probably one of the worst I've seen in my time up here, obviously the weather during the week didn't help pitch preparation and the scores probably reflected as much.
Should be a belter this weekend, tipping Ango to get the job done as I think their batting is more consistent. Will need another big knock from Diener to get Sandy over the line I think

Tips for this weekend?

A1 Sandy def Ango will make to 4-0 vs the Panthers this year, no pressure, Diener hasnt failed against Ango, yet!
A1 Res Tan def Gawler Central, massive turn around from R14
A2 Sandy def Ango, gun batting line up with a few additions from the 1s since last time they met, although dont think Sandy have ever beaten Ango at this level when its mattered
A3 Kapunda def Light Pass unless no one at Light Pass has been told its a Grand Final
A4 Freeling def Lyndoch Have half an A grade team at Freeling
A5 Willaston def Morgan Morgan the perennial chokers

Tips for the Mosey Medal on Tuesday night?
Top 10 are
G Bain
J Diener
R Hannun
M Johnson
R Johnson
B Montgomery
T Panagotiou
M Robinson
K Vandeleur
B Woodards

Can M Johnson be the 1st to go back to back
Will R Johnson win another one
The rest would be 1st time winners

The A1 game could go either way, I reckon it will come down to the efforts of one player to be the difference. I'm tipping mclean to be the one to get the Sandy boys over the line. Sandy in a nail bitter.
