Did you get a call up?

How come Al Lubcke isn't bowling?

How many times has Aaron been dismissed when he shouldn't have been given?

Am I reading this correctly? Virginia keep their points from the round 1 match against Eastern Park and then everyone else gets average winning points for their 2 day game against the bye?

This could really flick Parafield Gardens in the willy as they got no points in round 4, I'm not sure on how they're going this round against North Pines but they have Westies and Virginia in the last two rounds.

Westies you'd assume will take out the minor premiership with either Angle Vale or Dublin to take 2nd or 3rd, Angle Vale are cruising with 4 wins in a row since the break while Dublin have been relatively consistent and still have a strong showing this week against Westies.

The Pines have dropped off the radar and haven;t won since the break, same as the Gardens while Virginia remains the sleeping giant and are capable of anything, I see they are cruising at over 6 an over against NEK, if they can chew up the remaining 73 runs required then slap another 120 on in quick time they could get maximum points with Secca's back for week 2 to bolster in both disciplines.

It's great to see Grade 1 alive and well so deep into the season.

It should be the same as the AdFL and list suspensions when they're applied - would stop any rumors or innuendo, and provide transparency over decisions made as well as be a deterrent for those who might consider crossing the line.

Not while he was umpiring i dont think, but yes thats what i heard.

Heard something along the lines of a couple of GM players waiting until people (police?) rocked to to sort out the dispute and then decided to charge at him and hit him.. and it didn't end well for them.

Ive seen him come bloody close before.

Wouldn't want to be on the end of a punch from him, reckon he would be as strong as an ox.

Most the grades seem to be pretty tight still.

Grade 2 has stuff all separating the top 5.
Grade 3 a bit more gap at the top but Royals are closing that, and Craigmore still in the hunt.
Grade 4 still a battle for that 4th spot between Enfield & Units - this weekend likely determines who grabs that last spot and earns the right to lost to Dublin.
LO1 not a lot between 3rd to 5th.. but looks Vista's to lose again.
LO2 two games between 2nd and 5th
LO3 probably the most uneven grade.
LO4 Eastern Park starting to streak away, but still a fair log jam between the rest.

Grade 2.
The Goats are sitting top but could very well miss the finals playing the Royals and favourites United in the last two rounds.
The Units will secure minor premiership.
Smithfield will need to try and get maximum points against bottom placed Westies to have a bit of breathing space going into the last as they are pushing shit well and truly uphill this round, if they meet the Units in the semi's though they may aswell take some full eskies.
Craigmore should occupy 2nd spot after this round but this game could go on to an outright for one of them, plenty of golf left in this game, with Enfield in round 13 and then Smithfield in round 14, the Blues can write their own script.
The Royals could ruffle a few feathers on the way to the end if BJ and Arifi can keep compiling 140+ run partnerships.

The big question.. how does the future D2 medalist keep taking bags of poles?!

No disrespect to Knappy - bowls reasonably consistent, but 3x 5 and 2x 4 wicket hauls is craziness!

He's had to work his arse off for a bowl previously, he's probably learnt to respect the privilege to have the ball in his hand.

With Woody, Williamson, Rory, Benny Mc and Maurice all getting a shot before him over the past few years he takes the bull by the horns now when he gets the opportunity, from what I've seen in Grade 2 in recent times, if you bowl tight lines with patience, you'll force mistakes.

Agree, always had plenty of potential.

I know from my perspective bowling that when there has been a lot of pressure to pick up wickets really early in a spell (being the 5-6 bowler with better bowlers in the line up) it makes it really hard to get into a rhythm and at times you try to hard. I imagine Knappy would have faced that a bit given the bowling attacks he was part of.

Now he is the lead bowler, he knows his going to get his full overs and a couple of spells he can really relax into a spell and relish it, which seems to be happening.

In saying that I think cricket Australia wide metro/country wherever you like the standard is dropping, which is reflected at the highest level as well.
