I believe we had an absentee. Thakkar had to leave early.

Should've bowled first in hindsight, Riverside put up a decent fight, lesson learnt, especially early in the season when jagging an outright or two when teams are underdone can set you up nicely for the season.

I don't think anyone has taken Grade 4 by the scruff of the neck yet and there's a couple of players in most teams that can turn a game on it's head.

Eyre Royals probably look the most dangerous at the moment with Chaffey, McQueen and Bartlett - add in Scot May who played on the weekend, it's handy enough for G4.

Agreed. We were pretty lucky that Chaffey only played the first week against us. His batting may have made the difference.

Interestingly EP bowl SW out for 160 with McMullen and Woody not taking a wicket.

Couldn't get the job done with the bat though.

If EP can find a way to score against the really good bowling attacks (this was always a problem we had when i was at the club as well) they will be a genuine premiership threat.

Even if they finished fourth, if they win the toss bat first in a semi and get 120+ have fun chasing that.

They are IMO, they probably need Ray Ray playing A's, they seem to have a solid 9 players but the other two spots are floaters, didn't help having a couple of kids up against perennial Grand Finalists on their home deck.

Nathan McIver didn't bat on the weekend, he's probably been their best player this season, their top 5 or 6 is as good as anyone's, Tuckers or Luke haven't fired a shot yet this season, they don't go too long out of form, I'd still have them faves, they needed to lose this game to reel it in a bit and focus.

In this day and age there really is no excuse. It takes all of 5 maybe 10min to do - surely people can find a few spare minutes on a Sunday or at work or after work?

We set up a computer at Enfield, part of captains responsibility is coming back and entering the results Sat night.. if not they have to have it done by lunch time Sunday.

You know what is another pet hate of mine.. people who question my scoring ability and knowledge of the rules - just because you “haven’t heard that” doesn’t mean I’m not right.

Doubt there would be many better scorers around than me. 8)

I'll give you a score off!

I had one dumb chick try and tell me a beamer full toss that was hit for 6 and signaled no-ball meant 6 no-balls, it happened twice in the one over, I tried telling her what it's meant to be but she told me how long she'd been scoring for so obviously she was right.

I ended up saying "you do it your way and I'll do it mine".

I had an Eastern Park lady refuse to sit with me under the shelter at Smithfield, she sat 50 metres away to score, that was a fun day.

Only ATCO to go, after waiting all week for the Gardens they didn't poll a vote anyway, probably be the same in the ATCO game, Lowie and Ray look like taking out the minor votes.
