Corey hasn’t played for a couple of years but from what I remember he had a very good technique and could bat, Who knows I could also be blind 8)

You could probably mount the same case for Lyndon woods. He hasn’t exactly lit up the world on fire with the bat over the years besides in the lower grades. Not a hard batsman to figure out, Put a deep mid wicket back & you’re laughing.

He was a promising junior, he never really played to his ability as a senior, he had one pretty good year around 2015ish for memory, even picked up an 8fa.

Yeah, Lyndon is a bit hit and miss, he got a late call up for a SAMCA Cup U/21 match where him and Austin Smith took us from 5/37 to 6/181 at around a run a ball, it got us enough runs for us to beat ASCA where we went on to beat ATCA in the GF, he scored 21 not out from 14 balls there too, we got up by 1 run.

Getting there slowly - obviously large focus on building our juniors, girls and womens base, that's where majority of my energy is being invested.

From a senior point of view, not much has changed - picked up a couple of indian lads who will play in the lower grades, but the A grade itself looks like it'll much the same as the past.

Good turn out yesterday, had our mens, womens and U10's training.

Doing the 'Growing for Gold' initiative the next two Wednesdays and have 24 kids registered for that, and are on the edge of having potentially 2x Women's sides, 2x U10's and 1x U12 girls.. but still a lot of work to be done. Master Blasters and Junior Blasters are a bit unknown at the moment.

10's - needed a confidence boost. 8)

Actually train the Womens and U10's together at the moment, it's easier and as much as the women don't like to admit it, they're at similar levels IMO.

Staggered our training - men's 1-3, womens/10s 2-4.. so I trained an hour with the men, then did an hour of fielding etc with the women/kids, then finished with an hour of nets with them... so I was able to bully everyone of all ages, sex and ability.

Not sure his hit a run in seniors in a very long time. Always had promise but tbh and im a mate of his he lacks the care factor to build an innings at the higher levels of PDCA.

Will definitely put money over the bar and will be a bloke the guys will love to have around.

Lots of time for Corey just one of those guys that frustrates me coz he never gave as much as he could.

Very sad.

Always loved playing against Riverside, they always brought that 'Country' feel of competitive good natured cricket to PDCA which was refreshing after weeks on end against SW, EP, CU, SMI, NP

A bit like going out to Sandy back in the day and then having a dip across the road after the game and a couple of beers.

Fixtures up.

Would have liked 5 divisions of 6 teams in the 2 dayers rather than 3 of 8 and 1 of 5.
Same for the LO divisions. 4 divisions of 7 with crossover byes, probably better to have 2 divs of 8 and 2 of 6 teams and no crossovers.
