Long Plains CC is looking for any players keen for a change of scenery this year. Playing in A3's in BLCA as we have had a few move on.
Excellent facilities and a great club culture. PM me for details.

We do that in A&EH in our T20 matches but that's because they're at night and you don't want them going too late.

None of this surprises me with the Light Pass centric exec.
Are they still running with the more the merrier, every one wins a prize A1Grade? Was some real quality cricket last year with a world record 27 outrights in the A1 comp, its a farce, clubs are meant to strive to reach the standards of the top clubs not have the top clubs brought down to the level of the ordinary clubs.
Ive said for a long time 6 teams in each grade is the best break up of the clubs not 10, it creates a verey competitive mat ch every time you take the field.

There was a club that wanted to go back to 8 in the A1 grade

I agree a 6 team competition and you could play one dayers at the start, t20 through xmas and 2 dayers to finish leading into finals

the more teams in each grade dilutes the standard

the A2 grade in particular with a mix of club A grade and B grade teams causes a massive differential in standard

Played South Gawler twice in the T20 comps and they were both two of the most unenjoyable cricket experiences I've had. Was nice to beat them on one of the occasions though.

Did they stay for a beer when you beat em ?
Many a game if they lost they’d jumped straight in the car and leave, this included when we beat em at South

No word of the lie the two Barker boys were the only two to come over for a beer. Albeit they spent ten minutes telling us how they Golder and McCard out for Outback's and if they had them we would not have of got close to them. Which is probably pretty close to the truth but just reeked of sour grapes.

It was a Sunday afternoon though and was in Sevenhill so they can be excused on that occasion if they did need to get back straight away.

Rob was great at Para Hills, a competitor for sure, but over all we found him to be a quality bloke who gave his all on the field.

Angaston win their 6th A1 flag in 9 years rolling Sandy Creek for 75 getting there 5 down, not without a few nervous moments, slumping to 5/40 late on day 1.
Gawler Central win the A2s in a real up and down game, Eudunda/Robertstown wouldve been about 2/60, all out 74 then GC were 7/40 at one stage before not losing another wicket in the chase.
other premiers-
A3 Light Pass 4/90 def Angaston 89
A4 Angaston 5/201 def Tanunda 88
A5 Light Pass 8/182 def Tanunda 140

Not sure about that, im still struggling.
Never knew how hard it was winning one day flags, having to celebrate big Saturday night and then back on it watching the 2 day sides on Sunday and then the fresh legs join the celebration Sunday arvo just to heap more pressure on you haha

Yeah my place was used as the after party both nights, still yet to clean up the mess in the back yard, day off tomorrow will get it done before preso's tomorrow night.

Is the T20 GF going ahead?
I see both us and Mallala forfeited the semis. Apparently we got in first with the forfeit before Sandy Creek could :D
Not sure who's brain dead idea it was to play it after the season finished
