Will the $$$$$ come back out and they look to Adelaide Turf.

Ben McMullen was a star for them this year but their other recruits ended up being hit and miss.

He played for the BLCA Country Champs side so that could be a strong lure. Wouldn't be far off an outbacks call up if his eligible.

All things being equal i think Sandy win easy, Nuri's batting is pretty ordinary.

However, last season and this season were the 1st years of clubs having home finals.
Last years one day GF, Tan def Ang @ Ang, this year Ang def Tan @ Tan
In the semi's on the weekend both home teams lost, 3rd and 4th winning hasnt happened for a long, long time, i cant remember it ever happening to be honest.
I think there's a bit in this. The away team can just rock up and play, the home team has cones, pitch prep and anything else that pops up to deal with, If it was up to me id be picking a neutral venue.

We have had home finals for as long as I can remember in PDCA.

I think most clubs worked out it was in the teams best interests to have a few loyal club people complete the set up on finals days so the players could concentrate on doing just that.

A packed of chips and cokes to a couple of young lad should at very least get the cones and stumps done.

I loved having a home final, I'd get there at 8am, run the line marker around the oval, mark the oval with some sort of motif, pimp the place up a bit and organize the rest of the team to get there for a 10am bbq breakfast and talk some shit and perhaps watch a comedy or listen to something funny to set the tone.

Kinda like the T20 comp I used to run, that was a massive hit for all the clubs involved.

Yeah I loved home finals at Eastern Park in particular.

Used our changerooms to create that real 'footy team' atmosphere before a game.

Get out on to the oval and the pepper tree would be packed and they feel like they are 10m away and joining in the wicket celebrations.

Back in the day they would get a few chants going, you had the Kenny Mac chant and then later on the Frankie Mac chant as they steamed in to bowl.

Best memories were winning finals at EP.

The Pepper Tree, I always had to plonk myself out there to deal with the natives, they seemed to go a little easier on me, it was fun trying to take a catch right in front of them.

That's disappointing.....in my era they would give the opposition quick so much shit you could see the throth coming out of their mouth as they came into bowl.

Still remember Willy Searle bowling me middle stump out the ground. He was that angry he then picked the stump up and threw it from the midddle of the wicket to within ten metres of the pepper tree.

Difference is in the BLCA all finals are on turf.
Daisy will probably know better but I believe neutral finals were brought in because some clubs were not doing their best to produce a fair wicket

Yeah, they did at first but I loved it, it spurred me on. Took 8/20 up there one day, all bowled.

He threw it like a javelin I heard, it went perfectly flat through the air?
