Adelaide Turf All in brawl

Postby dont think do » Mon Mar 19, 2007 8:37 am

Heard that during a semi final on the weekend there was a all in brawl between Kilburn and Payneham on Saturday?

Anyone else hear this?

Was that the B3 semi? Walked past the oval yesterday shortly before the game started and things did seem pretty tense.

If they call in the PDCA tribunal to deal with it, the players might be out for 30 years! ;)

All seems to be quiet on this topic. I would have thought that if an all in brawl had occured then the umpires would have abandoned the game, but it seems as if play continued on the Sunday, so hopefully someone attached to one of the clubs or who is in the know can let us all know the actual story of events.

Kilburn come finals time tend to fire up and go over board with there antics. I remember an A2 Semi Final nearly having a brawl in the players race after the first days play. Mostly started by the coach who has now moved on to another club and is having no success there maybe they don't follow his talk first perform second ethics.

I heard that the "brawl" involved the payneham curator and Kilburn supporters. I would of thought if an all in occurred we would of seen/heard about it and the guilty party/club would of been dealt with swiftly by the hard working dedicated smart logical ATCA GM

The smart logical GM that was investagating a complaint from Marion C3 side that Brighton had played two ineligible players in the Semi Final. On ringing Brighton find out what was going he was informed that they had Permits.
Good to see his logic told him to ring clubs before checking with the Permit COmmittee to check who got Permits.
Another top piece of work by our GM.
Must go surely at the end of the season.
