NTFL - Round 1 Kicks off in Style

Postby Oldman Munga » Mon Oct 08, 2012 9:33 pm

Intersting start to the Season

Districts fought hard to just go down to Tiwi
Nightcliff still look strong in a Solid win over Wanderers
Central Aust might give headaches to more Than Saint Marys
Banks matched it with Waratahs for 3 qtrs
Buffs looked to have improved but fell short to a Young Palmerston Side

Only Rd 1 ,expect activity in the Arrivals lounge at the Airport to increase in the coming weeks

Big recruit for Banks FC

Postby Oldman Munga » Tue Oct 09, 2012 4:00 pm

Heard today the recently retired Adelaide Crow Michael Doughty will suit up for Banks this weekend , quick look at sportingpulse has no info on any clearances being lodged so far
Doughty is great friends with the Farrier Brothers from Reynella FC in the SFL league in Adel

That fella could be Cockshell pronounced Coe Shell ,left South at the completion of 2011 and went to Port Magpies , real big bast&$d ,dont know how the bigfella will go in the heat but Dogga will be fine , I can imagine the smile on Linc Jenkins (Banks coach) face ,dont know how Dogga and the bigfella would handle an ol style Banks sesh under the "Tree of Knowledge "
regardless its a massive shot in the arm for the club and comp in general.

Never know IGOR from Wanderers might get the Job one one of em ,dont sweat it though Igor is a chump , lol

Gee, didn't Buffs get a touch up from Saints yday, 30 plus goals.

Not a good sign for teh NTFL with some traditional sides really struggling.

heard the Muk Muks are struggling financially. AFLNTs desire for a 10 team Territory wide "league" may actually backfire with some of the original NTFL clubs folding.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Reid Beeching also ventured up with the boys for a kick as well as Rod Smitheran. Would have had a handy influx of players coming in and they had a great win!

Cupido kicked a lazy 12 on the weekend, after kicking 7 the week before.
