Swampy....

Played 90 GF, did my knee in the GF in the opening quarter - lost by 60 odd points
Played all year in 91, got Glandular fever and pulled out of the side on the morning of the GF, we won by 9 pts.
Played 92 GF, down by 3pts with 30 seconds to go. FF takes a mark about 35m from goal, slight angle, kicks it out on the full. FB kicks it back in, siren goes.
Played 97 GF, lost by 40pts.

Never won one of the barsteds!

I'm 0-3 from about 195 games all up.

gee wizz did you run over a black cat!
good luck for the future it is one of the greatest feelings or one of the lowest as you would know:-(

Dunno about "future" BOH, I'm now 40 years old. I think my time is well and truly up! But thanks for the thoughts. :)

the one that i enjoyed the most was the B grade flag it was just a team of mates running around the park some good memories.
my A grade flags i won when i was 19-20-21- i was young and really appreciate them and was 33 when i won the B grade flag after giving A grade away and played with most of my best mates.

I think I am close to getting my 300th game of SAAFL footy this year, played at 3 clubs in SAAFL over the journey, how can I find out exactly when my 300th will be, anyone know? Website is way out of whack.

Christian Reid just played his 200th consecutive A grade game for South Augusta since beginning in 2000. A remarkable effort, well done Rock. Can any posters better this achievement?

202 Junior games with one junior club
242 senior games with the same club but in seniors
7 senior games with another senior club
TOTAL = 249 senior games and 202 junior games = 451 games
+ 2 State or Representative games for SA or a team representing SA.
+ around 130 school games
Grand total of about 580 purely as a player only in junior and senior football. Only reported once and found not guilty, only because the umpire stuffed up the evidence
Retired early at 32, when still had 3 years left but had enough after starting at age 6. You just know when to retire, even though you wished afterwards that you played on.

I’m going to put this down as a record, because I had to think really hard to get this…

Senior football
Total 118 games

Goodwood Saints – 63 games (8 A grade, 55 B grade)
Payneham Norwood Union – 55 Games (38 A grade, 17 B grade)

Also played 19 Under 19 SANFL games.

Over my first 117, missed only 3 games
Since round 1 2011, have only added the one game… :?

Not senior but throw in about 50 junior games at Marion U17 & U18

125 Senior games all at Marion and i'm 25yo not out...

Have missed 3 senior games in 7 years!!
Never used strapping ever, had about 2 or 3 rubdowns whole career and do eff all stretching

Just like you thought I was bulletproof at that age. Never got injured, never warmed up properly etc. Hit 29 and got injured almost every week, and now after 2 reco's on knees and one on shoulder, I'm a walking poster boy for what not to do. I'm now 48 and mentally feel 21, but physically feel like a 70 year old. Hope you dodge it, but not many do, trust me.
