Forgot to add Gumeracha to my 'worst grounds' list. The bloody oval faces east/west!

And another one - Macclesfield, the only oval I've ever seen that grows its own mould.
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

I played alot of my juniors there and that is a shocker

if you played there midway + thru the season [ back when it rained ] if you kicked the ball over the line on the eastern boundary everyone ran to behind the northern goals to try to get it out of the creek. seem to recall the same problem at Paracombe [ ball in creek ] cannot recall who my mates played against that day

Yeh it happened all the time at foxfield
Would go between the scoreboard and the changerooms
You could just about ring the boys playing at Torrens Valley to pluck it out the river 5 mins later!

Thats pretty bad. I saw Mitcham this year after that 2 weeks steady rain and it would not have been much better than that......

The main college ovals might be great but the ovals they put theiroldcolls on are all shockers. After one game at Saints we couldn't tell who was who. Maybe instead of building their next diving pool they could improve the changerooms too.

Have to agree - nothing like playing on the Front Oval at PAC but they cant sell alcohol there -not even Coopers!!!!

Its no wonder most of the other teams have their team meeting outside theres less chance of being overheard. And the state of the oval is terrible the council normally dump a big load of sand on it for cricket and that doesnt help. Actually on saying that, this season for the first time the council laid turf at both ends of the cricket pitch and in the goalsquares. Covering up the bald patches :)
Im not saying i dont love my club cos i do but something needs to be done about the rooms at least.

Best:

PAC Front Oval on a dry day
Uni
Adelaide Oval
SHOC Main Oval
Golden Grove - but it feels like a villian scene out of Batman (ie) slopes to one side
Kilburn
Mitcham - my only premiership oval!!!!

Worst:
Any oval in the parklands - screw the Adelaide City Council
Houghton - bad but enjoyable
Burnside Kensington (Current Kensy Baseball Club) - slept in a bigger bed - our CHB lined up for goal and kicked it from CHB!!!!!
SAIT out at Parafield - for some reason, I always chundered on the oval
Greenacres bottom oval - when you showered under the xmas trees, always seemed like you should put on prison greens afterwards
W Croydon - just bad people in a bad place - dog (I hope) shit , needles, condoms etc etc
Ovingham - Year 7 oval
Flinders Uni - just like Myponga - no wonder they are th Crabs
Smosh at W Lakes - just hated the trip and the oval - we lost the guy on the wing one day - he turned up 2 weeks later
GAZA - Time for them to pay Les Burdett to review operations
Scotch - there would be 5 more Heards in the club except for mud drownings
Brighton - 80m kick one way and 10m the other

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I was only out there once

Looking from the clubrooms, don't the spectators sit 8-10 feet above the oval on the left side but it is flat on the right side?

Ahh well there's your first mistake... you must have been at a different oval because we dont have clubrooms yet !!! ](*,)

In all seriousness tho, on one side the spectators are up on the hill looking down but once you reach the oval level it is pretty dead flat... just being up on that hill consuming frothies tends to put the perspective out a little..
