what is the point in winning games by that much, they are not even worth playing in my opinion it means nothing. If it were at a higher standard SANFL AFL then maybe but still a waste of time i reckon.

In the SFL a few teams kicked 56 or so in the last few years against Aldinga and i reckon port elliot used to cop a fair few hidings in the 60+ goals range.

Anyone know the highest scores in the AFL SANFL?

I was at the Victor Harbor/Port Elliot game going back a few years, mid to late 90's i think...Ross Gibbs kicked 28 goals i think. I think they kicked about 68 in total.

The highest in the SANFL i presume would be the Glenelg vs Centrals game back in 75 when the tigers kicked 49.

Myponga kicked 58 goals against port elliot in 95 I think to 1 goal, Pongy's back pocket went off in the last quarter and drank rum in one of the spectators cars.....

next week Gibbs came out and kicked his 28 goals in Victor got over 60 I think....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Are you sure that was 95? I thought it would have been closer to 98/99

Sorry Stan! Haven't had a chance to hit the State Library yet. This result was posted in the Sunday Mail last year June-Julyish. My friends and I thought that it may have been a misprint but there were alot of goal kickers for both teams!!

I also saw those scores from that League last year in the Sunday Mail, I cant remember the teams playing thou. I think that the goalkickers added up so I assumed it was correct. I also cant recall what time of the year it was so PhilG it may of not been June/July. So Bar Bar a I will back you up on this as the 'experts' have bagged you.

No probs PhilG, it appeared in the Last Edition of the Sunday Mail, the score may of been different to the Country Edition of the Sunday Mail (dont know how but it may of), which they get up there. I know that the Border Times never had that score in there either. If you have time maybe look at the Last Edition Sunday Mail. Cheers
