NTFL chat

Postby Wedgie » Thu Oct 20, 2011 6:56 pm

Slightly off topic even though they've been discussed but I wish we got the NTFL down here, Daniel Motlop v Fev this week!

*EDIT*
I've split discussion about the NTFL into a separate thread from the Player Movement/Retirement thread, thought some of us might want to chat about it over their season (ie our summr)

An article on the AFL site says you can watch it on youtube via the NTFL site.

I'll be there tomorrow Wedge. Be a decent crowd. I will be disappointed if 40 goals aren't kicked.

Fevola kicked 8. Motlop 3. The real story is the 18 year old lad from kunnurra Waylon Manson. 8 on debut last week, and kicked 10 today.

Fev might get a crack, Motlop won't. Fev was dumped purely for off field reasons, Motlop was dropped for form reasons and didn't have a clean slate either. Motlop also was never the player Fev was. If you can get Fev's head right you'll have a strong full forward. If you get Motlop fit and focussed on footy you still might end up with a bloke not good enough for AFL.

About 2000-2500, which is a good crowd up here. Fevola was good with the crowd. He also kicked a freak checkside goal. Chased down a couple of quick little bloke too.

I'm sure North fans would have liked the look of Fev in the Waratahs jumper :D

Interested in other's thoughts about where NTFL posts should go or if we should create a new forum for similar. I've created a topic in the Feedback/Discussion Forum for user's input.
Cheers.

Good question - I personally don't have an issue with leaving it here as is, there is a pretty strong SANFL connection at most, if not all NTFL clubs.

But then, as mentioned in the other suggestion thread, a topic for 'other' State League discussions would work as well, I think?

#2 for the Waratahs is Tim Mosquito. He would be worth a look in the SANFL. The problem is getting them down south. A player with oodles of time, poise and skill. Apparently 6-7 AFL clubs are keen on Waylon Manson. Shannon Motlop looks as fit as I've seen him. Was best for the Wanderers.

The NTFL has 9 triple headers this season at TIO starting this Saturday. :drinkers: Gotta love footy being played 12 months of the year.

Regional footy thread. 2-3 players in each side are good enough for SANFL League football, bottom 3 in each side would struggle to make a Div1 or 2 Amateur A grade side. See some exquisite freaky skills but you also see more turnovers than a German bakery...

E.g. a solid 2s players at best at North - Thomas Motlop kicked a 10 against Buffs is in teh top third of players at Nightcliff.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Waylon Manson looks like he could be a star !!!

Aaron Motlop goes alright as well by the looks of it - did he have a run with North Adelaide at any stage TSG?
