Footy Trip Games

Postby Furry Wall » Mon Aug 20, 2012 6:08 pm

Coming up to that time of year again! What (drinking or otherwise) games or activities do you partake in on footy trips? Do you have any specific punishments for breaking of rules or footy trip 'virgins'?

Don't know about games but don't fall asleep on the bus is a law. 1 bloke from us did a few years back and we got his phone. He had photos of himself barred up on his phone for some sick reason so we sent them to his mum and sister......as compensation I don't think he paid for a drink the whole trip.....

Dead Ant

Someone yell out Dead Ant in the front bar of a pub and the last person to hit the deck with their hands and legs in the air has to empty the contents of their glass. As compensation usually they get to call the next dead ant.

Did this in the front bar of the Crown in Victor one night on a cricket trip one year and it was freaking hilarious. The locals didn't have a clue what was going on

Brilliant! I'll be making sure my phone has a keypad lock on it in advance I think. One good one I've heard of is rookie skolls, where the first year trippers skoll beers out front - quickest gets to sit down while the slowest have to stay on for another round until they are all out. Could get pretty messy and ruin an 18 year old's day if there are a few of them!

My other half has refused to tell me anything that has happened on a footy trip. I do know that his team is banned from several towns - Clare, Berri and somewhere else I can't remember - not for anything awful, just mainly walking around naked, I think.

I remember a team mate of mine had a game of who can survive the trip on the lowest budget @ his previous club. Because they were all together they could tell if people were bullshitting with their spending. Pretty funny how they'd eat ect and they'd just split to different pubs and just eat from the salad bar to 1 bloke who ate 3 hot meals @ the pub by swapping table numbers.

Drop dead Fred, similar to the ant one mentioned before instead you give a whistle to the bar staff and whenever they blow it the last person to hit the deck has to skull.
Freeze master- the freeze master places two hands on his head and the last person to completely stop moving has to skull. Can also do headmaster and thumb master where the last person to place their head or thumb on the table or bar in front has to skull.

Dead Ant works a treat. We give the whistle to the hottest bar chick (if there is one) to try and get her involved. We've had two concussions in the last seven years with guys hitting their heads on tables/chairs trying to get to the ground.
