AFL 9s SA

Big thanks to AFL 9s iconic figure Craig Caddy who last night donated a premiership cup to the newly merged Gaza/Gepps Cross competition.
In other news the City comp begins tonight in the South Parklands and will be a 14-16 team competition.
The Salisbury competition has delayed the season opener until Thursday the 30th so registrations are still open for teams and individuals.
Unfortunately the Adelaide Shores competition will not go ahead for Summer 2014 with some of its teams shifting to the City zone therefore leaving us with less than four teams.
To register go to afl9s.com.au

FROM THE AFL

Thank you for registering for the Cadbury Super Team Community Day on Sunday February 1.

Unfortunately due to the extreme heat forecast and in accordance with AFL and SANFL policy and in the best interest of guest’s health and safety, we have had to relocate the event. Consequently the new location is smaller and unfortunately we are no longer able to offer tickets to the general public. As a result of this, regretfully we are unable to host you on Sunday at the Cadbury Super Team event.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and look forward to seeing you at future Cadbury events.

AFL 9s SA is currently putting together its 2014 Corporate Cup. This years edition of "The game for everyone" will move to the Adelaide CBD. We will be looking for businesses who are keen to put in a team for a Monday Evening competition under lights during the months of May and June.

This is a great opportunity for the staff of your business to come together in a safe, fun and family friendly environment and be part of the action. Teams from last year spoke of many benefits of being part of the AFL 9s Corporate Cup such as the fitness, the challenge, team building, boosting morale and the fact they had fun and felt safe yet still in a competitive environment to test their skills in a great new mixed sport.

We are looking for new teams to join the SANFL and AFL corporate partners and last years teams from the Inaugural corporate cup LIFE FM, Knight/Frank Valuations, The Australian Submarine Corps and the eventual premiers In and Out carpentry All-stars.

Teams looking to register their business can e-mail me at tomj@sanfl.com.au and I will forward the registration forms.

Negotiations are under way with two potential new Spring 2014 venues. We are looking to branch out into suburban areas and form partnerships with some of the great local amateur league clubs giving a wider range of the community the opporrtunity to play "The game for everyone" in their local area. Tea Tree Gully and Athlestone will hopefully become the newest partners of AFL 9s SA. 8)
