Have HSV come up with anything to rival the FPV TVC or are they still working on it?

yep, the Holden cruze rivals this car you talk about. Seen as Ford performance and the ford motor company will be out of business in the near future Holden doesnt need to produce anything better.

The HSV and commodore range is so far out of the FPV and falcon range the holden cruze is its equal

Is it still true that the Commodore is over 50% imported parts?

Any truth to the rumour that GM are building a rear wheel drive plant in China to build the Statesman? Guess the media here wont be reporting on that any time soon, its GMH we are talking about, not Mitsubishi I suppose!

Ford will be gone from Australia in 5 years, no export market and building precisely the wrong sort of car in a time of spiralling fuel prices and carbon taxes. Building toys(FPV TVC) for those challenged in the penis department won't save them GMH may survive a bit longer, building the Daewoo Cruze here will delay their demise for a bit.

ok....the question was asked by another poster, FPV made some fantastic car and what was holdens match to it. I said the holden cruze was this so called fantastic FPV car match because ford would have to produce something like the bugatti veyron to match a HSV or a Commodore. The FPV range and the falcon ars soooo far behind HSV and commodore, Holden has the cruze to match Fords top of the range models.


Does that make sense now??

Needs punctuation and a balanced/educated view, wasn't so bad when I read it at a faster speed!

FWIW, I've driven the VE, Cruze and Captiva, as well as the VG Falcon, in order I'd pick the Falcon on space, comfort, power and towing capability, then the Cruze & Captiva equal depending on the application you want to use it for (both in Diesel are awesome on fuel), as for the Commodore, if the VE didn't have a Holden badge on it no one would buy it, I'd rather drive a VZ

The company, which had a turnover of more than $100 million a year, was Ford Australia’s highest-selling retail dealer from 2004 to 2006.

Could be for a variety of reasons, but probably not a great sign for Ford in the long term.
