Guess the Ginger Ninja didnt like being threatened with court action over plain packaging and decided to up the stakes?

Think they could have found things that benefit tax payers a lot more in our own county though than trying to one up the ciggarette companies however?

So stuff the poorer countries, let them fend for themselves hey? So we should stop any aid and assistance we give to other countries because we could use that money ourselves?

It may be an old saying, but still true, Charity begins at home.
in this country, we have people who have worked all thier lives and watched so called international financial markets control thier financial future. It's about time, powers to be both Liberal and Labour, started to improve the standard of living for the majority of Australians.
What if, pension payments where to increase by at least 50%. do you think a pensioner in his or her late sixties would start a savings account.
I think they would spend! i.e. higher retail sales, workers at 65 would be glad to retire with no financial restrictions, give rise to employment opportunities. This may be too simple, but when looking for an economic stimulus, this would appear to have more merit than than the insulation debacle and the schools building free for all. And I would venture to say, much cheaper!!!

Have no issue at all with the AusAid Programme, think it actually should be extended via the "Sister City" programme, cities like Adelaide should be Sister Cities with Cities in third world countries and assist them accordingly, if every western city did this many people would get a hand up.

In respect to Ciggarettes though, I dont see how they need funding to impose and or raise ciggarette taxes in other nations, one would assume it would simply be done as any other legislation is done.
