2013 Federal election - Rudd sets date as 7th September

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

All Q&A is, is a forum for quasi-intellectual tossers to spew out long-winded statements, followed by some question with all the impact of a limp lettuce leaf. As well as somewhere for lazy-arse political science students to twitter post inane observations.

Amazing what you can see when Murdoch's puppets aren't asking the questions.

Who are these Murdoch puppets. I'd love to know

The so called journalists in our country.

I don't think you can call Q&A a leftie show either. Not sure whether you did watch it or not but the questions he got were from a good cross section of the community i feel.

At least thats all he'd say
Rudd would go on for an hour on what the numbers 2 and 4 mean, and no-one would still be the wiser as to what the answer was

Just talking to people, I think the election will be closer than the polls suggest. I'm amazed how many young people (<25yrs nieces, nephews and their friends)will vote for ALP on the basis of marriage equality alone, yet it seems to be a non-issue with older people.

If you look at polls within individual seats (rather than 2PP) it will be a wipeout.

You are dead right apart from the closeness of the election. It will be a flogging but younger generations have no interest in economic management, foreign policy and all the important stuff that governments have to do, and thats fair enough. Gay marriage is not important to older people who grew up in a different era. I have some friends who are pretty much politically neutral and when I asked them how they were going to vote they said "Rudd, because he gave us cheques for $900" so right there is the ignorance that is among us. Anyway it won't matter and this time next week we will have some intelligent adults occupying the treasury benches and they will get some work done to try and rescue the country from the chaos that we've had for the last six years.

Neither. But why is it that people can come on here and take the pi$$ out of the conservatives and its all good, but the moment someone fires a shot at the Socialists it brings out the insults? We are in a democracy aren't we? And please tell me something good that these Rudd/Gillard/Rudd spoiled brats have done in six years? Taken us from $20b surplus to $300b debt. Good work there I'd say. Pink bats, BER, economic refugees draining our resources while genuine asylum seekers languish in camps, chaos in NSW Labor backed by Federal Labor, carbon tax, mining tax, sucking up to the greens. Saturday is on the way tick, tick, tick

One of the funniest posts I've ever read on here!

That's not funny.
This is funny
Interviewer - "Excuse me prime minister, can you please tell me your name"
PM - "well firstly let me say thankyou for your question and allow me to answer that in three parts......firstly, when I was born I had a mother and father who couldn't decide upon a first name so they had a week long conversation and decided that my first name should be Kevin but having said that let me say this, it wasn't an easy decision for them and its one that I respect them for as naming a child is not as easy as it sounds.......Secondly and in part 2 of my answer, I recently had a conversation with my family and I am certain that upon reflection of the question, that my family had the last name of Rudd and therefore following on from my first part of the answer to the question I understand my family ensured that they entrust me with their family name of Rudd....... now, thirdly and more importantly in conclusion to your very important question and in relation and reflection to my first and second parts of my answer to your question, you will see that combining part one and two you will see that the conclusion to your answer is Kevin Rudd and may I once again say thank you for your question and now I open the floor to more questions." interviewer - "Ummmm ........ Thanks??????"
