I didn't know Julia posts on here, I assume you are talking about the removal of Trish Crossin.

I'm not a fan of hers but I know it is an irrational and emotional response related to her sharing a name with the worst light globes ever made in the modern era. ;)
I also don't like her style as it comes across on TV.
So, should we deplore the fact that she is not there to at least be a second female Minister or rejoice in it?

palmer has won the voting in his seat by 36 votes, but the AEC has an auto recount for anything below 100 votes. Palmer is not a happy man and is sueing the AEC :D

I'd suspect Clive would sue his missus if she didn't put out as per his expectation ... It's good to be the King

He certainly has put the cat among the pigeons. Cant wait to see him perform in the House if he wins the recount.

8 boats since the election with 524 asylum seekers yet haven't heard boo from anyone. Whilst I believe it should be like this all the time, how is labor and the media letting them get away with it after all of their bellyaching for the last couple of years

Probably a massive rush of boats before the government's changes come into effect.

Will always be the 'push' rather than 'pull' effect. As long as there are tensions in countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Sri Lanka etc. the boats will continue to come. Abbott, Rudd and Gillard always knew this, just would never tell the truth!!

Problem is tony said that when he was elected the boats would stop because the smugglers knew the consequences. How is anyone going to know any of the consequences if the government won't release any information?

I'm looking forward to it.
It may be amusing enough to make Parliament on TV bearable watching...

Thinking I will go over to Canberra and get in the gallery during that first sitting week. Opening day Question time would be a not to be missed occasion

How many more Liberal MPs will be paying back travel entitlements they werent entitled to.

I thought their mantra was "stop the waste" - it seems if the waste is on themselves though, its ok.

It's not party specific. Both sides have exploited expenses since federation

You wrongly assume I dont have facts - go and ask your union

I'm more certain now you don't have facts. I'd like to know what you deem 'a fortune' and how that is derived from EBA's.

Here you go @wycbloods and @Roxy the Rat Girl : http://www.insurancebusinessonline.com.au/news/unions-coerce-employers-into-buying-overpriced-insurance-183510.aspx

The Unions and their agencies earn up to 45% commission and I'm talking millions of $$$$

Well strictly not the last federal election but a by-election because Kevin'07 has zipped ... Labor retain his seat in today's by-election.
