When the Chinese PM visited England a little while back, the embassy bussed in perhaps about 10,000 from all over London to wave their little flags and make it look as though he has soaring popularity.

All those Chinese have relatives at home in China - it is not so amazing - it just takes a few whispered words, like mentioning their names.

Ah yes, Communism for the people, voted for by the people, and if they disagree the people will be shot.
There has been a lot of ugly recent history in China.

I'm unsure of the news you get there in Oz, but did anyone see the incident in Korea?
A mob of Chinese, looks to be well in excess of a hundred, possibly more (there's only so much of mob that can be fit into a camera lens at ground level) stormed a hotel after a couple of Koreans holding an A4 piece of paper with the Tibetan flag on it sought refuge there. The pair of Koreans were protected by a squad of police but such was the ferocity of the action that once the hotel doors were breached, even the police were beaten by the crazed mob as they tried to hold them back.
Outside the hotel an innocent bystander was beaten to the ground with flying kicks as another part of the huge Chinese mob set upon him. When he tried to get up he was beaten to the ground again and sustained injuries to his head and legs. He said he feared for his life during the attack.
The perpetrators of these crimes were part of a chanting, fervent mob decked out completely in red, waving Chinese flags that were escorting the torch relay through the Korean capital.
Chinese media claims that the Koreans have over-reacted.
