Accountability doesn't even come into it

I hope you are not an english teacher - I even used capitals for the key word.

Yep start with the picking on insignificant punctuation. I was having a decent argument of why Gillard and her main claim to fame are no good. Obviously you are not. If I wanted to be picky I would tell you that English needs a capital, but why bother.

No, I was commenting on your comprehension of my post not your grammar or punctuation. You are still dodging - the website needs this information to complement other information to provide parents with objective assesments of schools.

I don't really have a problem with the overall concept, just that its about 1 test. Yes parents have the right to be informed but it is much more relevant for them to go visit the teacher direct and check their childs progress with a variety of tests and assessments throughout the year.
I wonder if we started a rank the politician website ranking their worth/achievements that they would be happy with the results of that.

Interesting comments on this blog from a few teachers on the misleading information on the website and Gillard's blatant vote grabbing,

My impression is that standard "centre-left" policy here has been all service profession bashing, aimed at undermining all these professions and reducing them to obedient low level clerks supervised by the higher level clerks of the administrative bureaucracy, who can tell them from their entirely theoretical knowledge how to nurse, teach, or treat and prescribe for, the public.
The important thing is that professional services should be cheap, not that they be good, let alone best practice.

Lawyers have retained their independence partly because there are so many of them in politics, who will defend their independence for when they return to it.
The other part is that most people do not expect to need legal services, so there is relatively little requirement or expectation that the government will provide them.
This means there is not the same drive to make them cheap..

I don't think you would want Julia in a bedroom - the thought is a little daunting...
