Gillard by a country mile...

Rudd is an ego maniac to such an extent he makes Keating seem like a nice humble sort of a bloke...

I'd be surprised if Turnbull ever challenged Abbott, but someone else may if he doesn't win the next election.
I think he'll be given his shot at it.

As a very anti Labor person ....I actually think Simon Crean should be leader.

The 2 of them (Dudd and Jules) have lost all respect for the people of Australia...they are a joke.

I do have some respect for Crean. I liked the way he spoke about the leadership battle. He was honest and to the point. A rare thing for Labor.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Gillard.

Either will find it near impossible to win the next election. The choice, I think, for the caucus is a leader who will spend 18 months being a populist and getting nowhere, or one who will spend 18 months pushing through reform. Whether that reform is right or wrong is another matter, but at least has the guts to make unpopular decisions.

As a wet conservative, I prefer Crean to any of them and always have.

He's more presentable to the middle class than any of the others

Not sticking up for our shithouse partisan media but I remember reading plenty of articles about the Howard v Costello rumblings at the time.

Exactly. It'll be another 18 months of fabricated rumours instead of publishing anything of substance.

Well the media have known it has been coming for 18 months then Quichey. Should be congratulating the media for getting it right.

Unlikely, he'll probably take him out for a fishing trip sans fishing rods.

You only have to watch Rudd's two press conferences, especially the second one, to see his campaign skill and his ability to deliver clear messages to the people. He knows what to say, how much to say and how to say it.

So, to me, how did it end up in the mess of the faceless men deposing him 3 years after he ended the Howard/Liberal run?

Something is missing in between. Rudd claims he was a victim of the factions. Gillard claims he couldn't run a Government despite being able to win an election. Surely the truth is somewhere in the middle. If the factions were sure Rudd could have won that next election they would have let him go with it and depose him afterwards. How did he lose the confidence of the majority of his party when he won them the election 3 years earlier?

I feel the Australian public are still not fully informed of the missing pieces of the puzzle and I think won't let Labor get a 3rd term of Government unless without being told exactly what went on. They can't keep alternating leaders in between election campaigns just to win the next election and hope these deep seated problems will go away.

Personally, I feel Rudd doesn't walk the talk.
In between signatures .....
