watching the debates when on they were on it was tied 1-1 and one tie which was number 2. Obama has plenty of supporters and so does Romney. Alot of Americans are not as trusting on Romney as he left as the Governor of Massachusetts with time remaining and certain other laws he wants to introduce are worrying. Women will not vote for him as he has put alot offside and his plans to remove Obamacare (which is based on Romneycare.) they are against. Romney shot himself in the foot many times in debates 2-3 and also his choice of Vice President has left alot to be desired because he got his ass kicked in his debate.

Yes like Reagan - it gave me the horrors!
This thread is really about whom we hope will win.
I hope Obama does - he is at least for a half-civilised USA.

Besides The Reagans anti drug stance, I thought old Ronnie was alright.

Romney and Ryan are not even close to being in touch with the average American, let alone another culture.

What worried me about Ronnie was the feeling that he believed Armageddon was a real and inevitable event and that the "good" would triumph.
When you add his developing dementia during the Presidency, his finger being anywhere near "the button" was a worry.

I've also never quite forgiven him for "Star Wars" - an attempt to rupture the USSR economy with an arms race.
Not only was its success only temporary, but it cost the world the chance of an effective International solar energy programme.
(The L5 plan the USA and USSR were working on jointly while Jimmy Carter was President.)

This "new plan" is a pinch from the more grand idea of that era: http://www.space.com/9491-plan-satellit ... space.html
The original involved a satellite at L5 staffed by 2000 people on two year rotations - half from each of the USSR and USA.
The crews were already being trained to cope with the isolation, and put aside their political differences, by a Boston academic Psychiatrist, whom I met in the 1980s.
(He was taking mixed national groups to the Antarctic bases.)

I hope Romney sh!ts it in. Obama and his lefties are economic vacuums. The Benghazi cover up is a disgrace and Obama is dishonest and a rock star leader who is great in front of a crowd and on late night tv but he is a dud in the Oval Office. He is weak on foreign policy and this is a free kick for China and the Middle East. I suspect a lot of people who voted Obama in 08 will abandon the Democrats this time around. Romney is not a religious nutter, he is a clever and very rich man who could turn America around with his experience as governor of Masachusetts.

Temporarily...
It seemed lovely at the time - no more cold war - but then Russia rebounded on the earnings from Gazprom, while the US economy is still floundering in the debt thus created.

So if I say "I hope Obama wins ..." I am not a member of a cult? But if I hope Romney wins, I am in a cult?

He's got Donald Trump on speed dial :)

I am no fan of Trump. I think he is overblown, crass, arrogant and egotistical in the extreme. He is rich and successful but that doesn't automatically make him a good wholesome person. So there.....
