Of course it is R&B .... Separate issues when it suits you but I'm sure if the liberals where in this position you would be first to point this out .

Good morning to you :)

And a very good morning to you too, southee.

It not only suited me that they are separate issues, but after intensive investigation, I have found that they are, actually, separate issues

On appeal, the High Court (ie: me) has ruled that what Mr Keating thinks about Julia Gillard and what the latest opinion polls say about the government's popularity (or lack of it, unfortunately), is separate from the question of the government's handling of the economy.

The clincher on that question is from the Hon. Tony Abbott, who, in a recent speech, said we had 'bragging rights' over the economy.

Southee, surely you are not straying from the task of providing us with the figures of what would be your benchmark for the government to claim success with the economy, or provide us with what it is exactly that is 'ruining the country'?

Good afternoon to you :D

Again I point ot that Mr Hockey has recently been proven a liar over his election costings being 'audited'.

Strangely, the media seems to have missed the story.

Not that they're selective, of course ;)

No, not at all. But they're the most recent and, IMO, damaging.

Countering the argument that one politician lied ( Gillard ) with the fact that they all do ( Hawke, Bush etc etc ) is futile.

Gillard lied, flat out lied about the Carbon Tax and is not being held accountable for doing so.

No wonder I'm such a cynical bastard when it comes to these spineless puppets.

I'm quite certain the media and the Opposition have made Labor accountable. And the public are currently too, as it's the sole reason for Labor's poor showing in the polls.

Gillard is the PM...Hockey is not.

Gillard has a long history of spinning the BS.

Starting with "backstabbing" Mr Kevin Rudd the former PM who she stood by and gave the impression of being "so loyal" to him.

"There is more chance of being full forward for the Western Bulldogs than me being PM" - bad move and the start of many lies by Gillard.

When she speaks now...it is very hard to really take her seriously. Its all spin and most probably BS. Like many I have spoken to who tell me they have "switched off" listening to Gillard as she has a history of lies.

"No, she is not" ???

What are you trying to say, Southee?

Booney, I have often said Gillard broke an election promise with the carbon tax, but it's not such a black and white case as that. I'm sure she meant it when she said it, as she also made it clear at the same time that she would move to a carbon price. No-one thought sje would be governing from a minority position and would have yo make the best of that, hence the temporary carbon tax before it moves to a pricing mechanism.

I recall John Howard saying 'never, ever' to a GST. I don;t recall him adding "unless I take it to another election".

Does anyone really think that if Tony Abbott had been smart enough to form a minority government that he wouldn't have gone down the same path?

Southee, your argument that 'Gillard is the PM, Hockey is not', while facdtual, is nonsense, unless you're seriously suggesting it's OK for the Opposition to lie.

Anyway, I've read all year that Gillard wouldn't make it ot the end of this year. She has, with an increased majority in Parliament. She's totally outwitted Tony Abbott since the election, but can't do a thing right according to the pundits.
