I'm predictable in my "attacks" on the Liberal Party sure but just because I don't get stuck into Labor on here amongst you lot doesn't mean I don't do it. FYI I've never been a member of any political party whatsoever or have ever even been a member of a Union. Gillard was always going to be impressive which is why I was so annoyed with the Liberal Party's attacks on her in the lead up to the last election. Anyone but the absolutely deranged knew not to swallow their "She's a communist, her and her Union comrades are going to take your children!" rubbish. Oh no the federal Libs are a complete rabble. The Mad Monk's angling for the leadership, Turnbull's polling shows him rated beneath even Hockey and the departing Costello. Much like our own Libs the factional warfare behind the scenes is still going on.
I agree we're in need here of a decent Opposition. We're not getting that and I doubt we will anytime soon either. Obviously I think you and 1-2 others on here massively overstate the problems in this State. They're still flying in the polls for that very reason, they're running the state well and they're not giving anyone genuine reasons to start looking at the Libs. Are the Rann government arrogant and loaded with a fair bit of spin? Of course they are. When the Opposition are fighting amongst themselves and coming up with ridiculous policies like a Billion dollar stadium in the city, why wouldn't they be? No one's voting for them and they know it.
Just another point in my statement about Labor moving to become a centre-right party in recent times, don't overlook the Catholic/Christian vote. While I don't like it bringing that Monsignor Cappo into the tent was a brilliant move and if the Opposition were even half compotent they'd be kicking up a fuss about how many sweet under the radar property deals the SA Government have been doing for the Catholic church.
