Adios.

Isn't it wonderful how the Labor factions work ... Weatherill is (apparently) connecting with the electorate but no, Don Farrell and his mates on the right will have nothing of it.

Let's put up a couple of newcomers that hardly anyone has heard of and she'll be right ... as Ranndy quietly slips off into the Mediterranean.

Adding to the political uncertainty, the Labor Party state executive has called on the State Government to make a reversal of cuts to public sector worker entitlements in the Budget an "immediate priority".

The executive passed a union-sponsored motion yesterday calling for the changes to be made in the first five weeks of the new Parliament which resumes next week. Any motion passed by the executive is binding but it is up to the Government to decide the timing of any decision.

Yeah that's one thing, have you seen the bloke they're going to replace him with, Snelling? He'd be even more right-wing than the bloody Libs.

Snelling has some unpopular personal beliefs and is not afraid to have that known. Some of these beliefs are in line with those of Tony Abbott, probably because they are both Catholics. I think it would be a sad day when someone who has strong personal beliefs is precluded from significant political positions (by the way I don't agree with these beliefs even though I went to the same school as Snelling)As a prefererence I would rather Rann went and Foley stayed. Foley was reasonably competant as treasurer, a bit obsessed with the AAA rating, then what Labor treasurer wouldn't be after the disaster of the Bannon years. Foley comes across as a straight but unpopular shooter, Rann's current persona does not engender any trust whatsoever, he just got over the line with 48% of the popular vote says it all and is still as arrogant as ever.
