You're overstating it's influence, which is negligible at best. The driving force has been hedging of Australian currency and the resulting high dollar.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, as it's highly unlikely I'll change from my view that the supply and demand of credit affects the price of that credit.

Though if you're looking to attribute blame on the current incumbents then perhaps they could be at fault for not acting on the rampant hedging.
