Labor have won 44 seats and are going to form minority government in QLD with an indie to get to 45.
What an absolute disaster this election was for the former LNP government and one term premier Campbell Newman lost his seat too.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk it is, from winning just 7 seats at the last election to government in 3 years.

well she is going to struggle to keep a stable government IMO. wit figures like these seats won and lost I would give it 2 months before it goes pear shaped

Thought it was a terrible decision to parachute Newman in to start with. The LNP had this election sewn up before the floods and panicked when Labor got a minor lift for their response. Brought in someone who wasn't even in the parliament and then seemed surprised that he didn't go so well. If they stick to picking the best leader then it's hard to imagine Labor winning this time around.

well not really. It wasnt only just sewn up before the floods no. Take nothing away from Anna Bligh and her labor debacle... she handled the floods here well in Brisbane and helped some what the labor party over that period of time. Also the dirty tactics that labor used in that campaign went against them.
the labor party lost the election well before this occured. Years of failure labor government in queensland caused campbell to get in. He then turned it upside down in the last one

serious issue here for the new QLD government not even 2 months into their time
a member has been accused of not paying child support by their former partner. the premier is not happy over this. If this member steps aside or removes himself from the parliament, then the labor government does not have enough seats to govern. Interesting times ahead

He also revealed his mother took out an apprehended violence order against him in 2008.
Mr Gordon has been in the spotlight during the first week of parliament, since allegations of domestic violence were levelled against him by a former partner, who also claimed he did not pay child support.

Premier has demanded that all her MPs come forth with any past or present criminal history
And QLD voted these fools in......not even 2 months into it and it has turned to this

So the previous LNP government removed rego stickers to save them money and reduce registration prices.
Today the voted in Labor government has and will be increasing rego prices !!

of course they are. rego goes up every year, did you really think it wouldnt just because they removed the stickers? it went up here in sa too the year we got rid of stickers too.....

it was an election promise "i will not raise rego payments under a government i lead" was the labor leaders "policy"
Yet we are told it was only ever campbell newman and or tony abbott that break promises.

ah gotcha, you didnt say they promised that initially. to be honest, the media should have grilled them over a promise like that at the time they made it.
who would seriously believe that the biggest revenue gatherer for any state government would halt their fees and not increase them in line with cpi?
