Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

Coalition must be spending a pretty penny or three on advertising through facebook. Completely cluttering my news feed with nothing of value. Also seem to be getting the local member for mallee publicizing himself, interesting move considering his only opposition is a new nationals candidate in the safest nationals seat in the country.

well the only people that get to vote for him are those in his electorate and i think he is very popular there. :D

Yeah, except we have a presidential election system now. I have neighbours who won't vote Liberal because they don't like Abbott and they won't vote Labor because they don't like KRudd so they intend ticking a random independent. It's got buggar-all to do with our sitting Liberal member who is a likeable sort of bloke.

Yes, part of his grand plan. Beattie and Rudd are sworn enemies so I reckon Beattie is running in Forde knowing Labor is going to lose the election then he can white ant his way into a leadership challenge

Should the ALP lose the election a Beattie vs Rudd challenge will be a strong possibility should Rudd not fall on his sword.

Not sure Beattie could even muster the caucus numbers to do this.

I am not sure the opportunity would be there, if it plays out that Abbott goes on to lose the election then it would be a foregone conclusion that Abbott would simply step aside for Malcolm Turnbull or Julie Bishop.

sky news 601 with a 2 hour debate on sydneys next airport. How about getting the funds to finish brisbanes second runway!. 7 year project and when its half finished the project will stop due to lack of funds. The airlines don't want to charge customers for it, so by the time it gets to half finished then it wont go further

As we've seen News Ltd has been going feral during the election campaign so in disgust a Brisbane café owner has decided to stop selling Murdoch's papers.
