Good on the Greens for supporting Clive Palmer via their Preferences, good to see that they have come to their senses and now support Uranium Mining, the end of the Mining Tax and Fracking for Shale Oil / Gas.

Follow up to the earlier post:

A Liberal candidate has quit after it emerged his personal website contained lewd and sexist content.

Kevin Baker, who was contesting former minister Greg Combet's NSW seat of Charlton, ran a "Mini-Mods" forum site for car enthusiasts that contained references to incest, domestic violence, racism and child abuse.

He has now stood down, but his name will remain on the ballot paper for the safe Labor seat because nominations have closed.

Greg Rudd (Kevin's brother) on the state of politics:

Greg likens the two-party system to a dysfunctional marriage.

"Albo gets out of bed each morning to kick the Tories in the guts," he writes. "Albo's a good bloke but how can he advance Australia if he hates half of Australians?

"Chris Pine (sic) has a fatwa on Labor. Chris is a more acquired taste but how can he advance Australia if he hates half of Australians?"

High profile Wikileaks Senate candidate Dr Leslie Cannold has quit the party over Assange's right-wing preference deals:

THE WikiLeaks Party's star candidate Leslie Cannold has quit over a dispute over preferences, and more candidates could follow.

Dr Cannold, who is an ethicist and commentator, says she's disappointed the party's internal democratic processes have been "white-anted and resisted".

"It was a difficult decision," she told AAP on Wednesday, shortly after announcing she was resigning as the party's Senate candidate for Victoria.

"I just in the end couldn't do otherwise."

Julian Assange, who is holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, is the party's No.1 Senate candidate, followed by Dr Cannold.

Mr Assange has said he could be replaced by Dr Cannold if he is elected but unable to leave the embassy.

Dr Cannold says other candidates will also resign later on Wednesday.

Her decision came shortly after The WikiLeaks Party announced it was launching an independent review into "errors" made in its preference decisions.

The party faced criticism earlier this week for preferencing the Shooters and Fishers Party and Australia First Party ahead of the major parties and the Australian Greens on its how to vote cards.

Kev can't help himself. Now he's abusing make-up artists!

Lily Fontana on Facebook:

Just finished doing Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbott’s makeup for the People’s Forum at the Broncos Leagues Club.

One of them was absolutely lovely, engaged in genuine conversation with me, acknowledge that I had a job to do and was very appreciative. The other did the exact opposite! Oh boy, I have ever had anyone treat me so badly whilst trying to do my job.

Political opinions aside...from one human being to another...Mr Abbott, you win hands down.

How about this?
"Oh boy, I have ever had anyone treat me so badly whilst trying to do my job."

It may depend on how you define abuse.

Its probably more to do with the fact that Rudd's public personna is so fake, compared to what he is actually like as a person......more so than the fact he is a **** of a bloke.

Reports now he could even lose his own seat.

Perhaps the best long term outcome for the ALP anyway.

Lets just hope voters arent stupid enough to give the Liberals a majority in the Upper House

LOL, Rudd may lose his seat the way it's looking at the moment.

Perfect scenario ... both Rudd and Gillard dumped.

Unfortunately, the election will be a landslide for the coalition.

There's no doubt a change in government is required, but landslides are no good for anyone.
