You get to ask John Howard or anyone from the Liberal camp (elected or not) 3 questions for them to answer. What would you ask them?

1. Why are you such a medieval minded , Queen hugging Monarchist?

1. What specifically are your plans in relation to the Federal Government assuming control of the Public Hospitals and how will that be different to what Kevin Rudd is proposing?

2. When are we likely to see an announcement on Federal Funding for the Princes Highway to be made dual carriageway in the same fashion as the announcement on the Pacific Highway made recently?

3. Will you offer Toyota incentives in the same fashion as those handed out to Mitsubishi and Holden to begin production of Hybrid cars like the Prius in Oz?

These are going to be a real problem when the batteries need replacing - the ecological cost of taking the probable cheaper option and throwing the whole car away will be an issue.

Have you seen the doco "Who Killed the Electric Car"? What it showed was the companies that make those types of batteries being purchased by oil companies to restrict research and development. Still it made no difference though, Since the introduction of the Prius and the Hybrid Civic, the Batteries are lasting much longer and are getting a lot cheaper to produce. The current model Prius comes with electric plug in and a solar panel for recharging. There is also a company activley buying up second hand Prius's & Civics and refitting them with more modern technology and selling them as - remanufactured. Which is a good thing as in 2011 New York goes to Hybrid only Taxi's, so they will be needing the additional stock!

Toyota have a hybrid Camry in the U.S and it is rumoured that we may get it here. Lexus are increasing their range of Hybrids - for increased performance, and Nissan are licensing Toyota's drivetrain's for use in a vehicle they are producing. Peugot are close to releasing the prototype of their Diesel Hybrid. So with all the R & D going on in the rest of the world, I hope our local industry gets into it sooner rather than later!

1. How low can the official unemployment rate fall to before the level becomes counter-productive to the economy?

2. Would a re-elected Liberal government consider Commonwealth intervention (as opposed to negotiation) to address the inequities of water use and water allocation throughout the Murray-Darling basin?

3. If the Liberal Party retains the balance of Power in the Senate after this election but the Labor party wins the (main) election, will Labor be ineffective as a Government because it will be stymied by the Senate?

off topic i know but which would you have thought got 2006 green car of the year internationally, a hybrid vehicle or a 5.4 litre AMG mercedes?
it was the mercedes, taking into account production, CO2 emmisions and vehicle end of life pollutants. hybrid cars still have a fair bit of R&D to do before they are truly a "green car" in all senses of the term.

1. Why do you include the casually employed people (10hrs or less) into your employment figures?
2. Why did you have to hold off until elections called until you brought out extra tax cuts. Shouldn't this have been done in last Federal Budget?
3. Why are you so afraid of signing the Kyoto agreement? Is it just 'cos your mate George Bush isn't signing it? Grow some balls and stop being a little puppet!

4. Why are you / your party being so rude about Julia Gillard and other female opposition members?

I could answer those but it would get a bit off topic!
STILL:
1. CentreLink want to look good, and Gough set the data manipulation precedent by not counting those he transferred to pensions to get them off the unemployed list.
2.Learned that trrick from Paul Keating, but his L A W promises proved "non-core".
3. 'cos it sucks and needs to be more balanced. [Mind you so does George.]
4. I hadn't noticed that was happening - but I guess pollies are all out scoring points right now - look at the attacks on Amanda Vanstone and others on the Lib side in the past.

kyoto is pointless. whats the point in signing it if its current signatories arent even meeting there kyoto requirements?
thats why john howard hasn't signed it, hes said that numerous times.

You must have a Bill Heffernan filter.

Amanda Vanstone was treated more horribly by her own party than by her political opponents.

Yes I'll pay that too, but the attacks on anyone looking vulnerable go both ways. Most pollies are sharks!

...speaking of "going bothways", what ever happened to the report about a federal liberal member living 2 lives so to speak, being seen in gay bath houses and the like...?
Seems like it died suddenly didnt it. From what I've heard he is a rough chance to lose his seat at the upcomimg election ,so it may not be an issue after the election any way.

Wasn't expecting you to post it blueandwhite, was just curious to know whether or not it had filtered into the general public.
