Doesn't read half as bad as I imagine the actual situation to be.
Although I don't know the details of this conflict, after seeing films like "Shooting Dogs" and "Hotel Rawanda" (both based on the true accounts of the people depicted in the movies) and reading up a bit on African Warfare in general, I know that phrases like "aid workers are being shot" and "people are being displaced" translates into some of the most horrible realities that mankind can inflict on one another. These type of wars are usually wars on the peaceful civilian population that wear the brunt of these horrors. Usually it is the women and children that suffer most.
Without knowing the details I'll just say that I hope it isn't what I have described, and if it is, bit of political pressure wouldn't go astray.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
