ICAC

The Rann government suggests SA is without corruption and an ICAC will cost too much. The head of ICAC from NSW (retired QC and supreme court judge) was on 5AA this morning and argued that an ICAC would more than pay for itself with recovered funds from corrupt acivities. Why is the Rann government so reluctant to push ahead with something that seems to have community support? Does anyone seriously belive there is no or negligible corruption in SA?

An ICAC will never be cost effective with Rann in power. He would have to hire another dozen media minders to deal with everything they dug up.

SAJC saga suggests Michael Wright knew more than he was letting on. What would an ICAC turn up if it investigated this government?
