Looks like the 2 major parties are having a massive loss of support to the minor parties, last I saw the Libs only had 30% of the vote and Labor 23%!
Is Labor's first party preference vote dropping everywhere, if so why?
There's been no major issues or are they just state based issues impacting on Tas and to a lesser degree here?

"That is likely to give the balance of power to the Greens, whose support has reached a record 22 per cent."I imagine a lot of Tasmanians have had a gutful of being run by Gunns by proxy (through the major parties).

Labor is struggling in NSW, Anna Bligh is falling out of favour in QLD, the NT balance of power is on a knife's edge, and Brumby in Vic has plenty on his plate there at the moment too.
I think is probably cyclical in many cases - new leaders get a grace period to work through issues of a medium/long term nature. When these start getting harder, and the day-to-day issues come in to play as well, the polls narrow.
The Mercury has a election site which is much more extensive than the Advertiser's is.
Tassie also has a Hare-Clark system, which makes their elections a bit different to others.
