I'm not sure I'll bother to watch.
Campaigns like this bring out the "Don't vote, it only encourages them!" feeling in me.
No one is presenting much policy of substance, and each side is claiming the other is lying - what a choice!

Was it
really necessary to have a women's versus men's 'indicator/worm' whatever they call it??

Actually, I saw a bit of it and the women's versus men's pattern of conversion and diversion in the emotional response was the most interesting part of it.
I spent a bit of time looking at where men and women responded similarly, and where they diverged.
Without that to study I'd have moved on more quickly.

Yep the three minutes I saw whilst waiting for the 7pm news to start was pure torture. I am a keen observer of politics but I find these debates just plain boring.

Mungo MacCallum on the Debate:
Of course the voters are the real losers. Never has the prime ministership of Australia been contested by such a pair of abject, craven, weak-kneed, whey-faced, chicken-hearted, lily-livered, jelly-bellied milksops. And what a lead up to the so-called Great Debate: the Wimp versus the Wuss.http://www.crikey.com.au/2010/07/26/mun ... al-losers/

Q&A held a de facto debate last night.
In future, they should just sit both leaders either side of Tony Jones.
And proceed...

Penny Wong copped it.
But she was on a hiding to nothing.
Lesbian Climate Change Minister toeing the party line and defending the 'Citizen's Assembly' and anti-gay marriage stance?
Good luck!
