Not sure yet, I think they got a $1m loan from the SA government as well as some monies from the Small Business Development Fund. I believe they'll stay westside of town.

You know they run the West Thebby Social Club at the West Thebby Hotel?

You're assuming SA Best isn't whoring itself around then?

Marshall says X has committed to helping Labor win government, X threatens to sue Marshall, X runs more candidates in Liberal held seats, Jay for SA comes out today and says he's got the names of 3 X men/women who'll jump ship if they win their seats in March and you want X to be in charge or, at best/worst, play King maker?

It's a mess now, imagine if the bloke with no policies is in the hot seat. He's a fickle stunt puller with no substance.

I just think he will at least listen to the people of SA. The other 2 are more interested in themselves & what they can get away with

You're right, he'll probably listen, but don't we want our politicians actions to speak for them?

I'drather a pollie that listens to the people. Be something different at least. Do you really think the other 2 options are that much better, more of the same crap we've had problems with for 30 years.

That's the type of philosophy that got Trump elected.

I actually don't mind that Trump is not a puppet for the people behind the scenes.
Unfortunately we know that the other 2 parties WON'T listen to the people after we've let them in. Koutsantanus is greek also right?

What policies are you supportive of from the SA Best team?

Royal Commission into Health?

I've looked for others, but alas....

A Royal Commission doesn't fix it. It's just an investigation, usually from which nothing will result.

Anyway, it's hard to fix the health system when you don't have any idea about it: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-09/x ... cy/9417116

I don't mind Xenophon, but i prefer him where he is, on the fringe attempting to make change that way.

you obviously didnt look that hard.

ive voted for xenophon in the past because i thought he represented south australia better than other senators who would largely just vote along party lines.

havent actually decided which of the 3 parties ill vote for this time. Probably the first time ive been undecided actually. i think i am a centrist or slightly right leaning on economic issues and left leaning on social issues. so i dont really know yet. I am very much waiting for a centrist party to come along, whether xenophon is that im not 100% sure yet.

the flipside of the argument that xenophon is a flip flopper is that i feel he is also a pragmatist. and pragmatism is better than being an ideologue imo.

Fair point.
I can't see Xenophon being any different.
Heck, his whole career has been built on a premise of shutting down pokies, in which he has totally failed to live up to his promise - just like every other politician.
The realities of power are different from sliding along in the slipstream telling people what they should do.

The flipside of that is that ideologues are generally predictable. You never know what a pragmatist will do next in in politics.

Just heard the press conference where Jay said 3 members of SA Best will quit the party & become independent after the election. Never heard journalists laugh so much at a politician when he refused to name names.
