Govt introducing Paid Parking at the Modbury Hospital

Here is one example why I have had enough of the so called ALP in this State. If its not good enough to go and milk as much money as they can from jacking up water bills and then stealing the pensioners increase for Housing Trust Rents, they then move on ripping off people that are often disabled and on low incomes just to park their car or go visit someone at the Modbury Hospital.

Its a real shame when the ALP act more right wing than the Liberal Party, the sooner they get kicked out of office in the state the better, perhaps several terms on the opposition bench might snap them back to the reality of what the ALP is supposed to be about and how they treat both the working poor and people on government supplied incomes - dont hold your breath though ALP voters, vote for the Greens or Dignity for the Disabled instead!

Its in the outer suburbs and has been free forever. Dont see why it has to change just because it occurs at other hospitals, it certainly is not the case at Noarlunga or the Lyall Mac, guess they can head there next to make some more money out of the people out there that can least afford it....

that'd be because people are using it for the O'Bahn at Modbury interchange.

TTG council are cracking down on people parking in TTP car park, so people are scurrying around for other places to park.

Simple solution to that without charging is make them 3 hour parks and fine people there longer. Sounds like a money grab.

I have said this before.

To charge a parking fee at any hospital.

Shame Shame Shame, Australia. :-q x_x %-(

If your mother/father/son/daughter/relative has a heart attack, the last thing you are thinking about, is to pay for a parking space.

Shame Shame Shame, Australia.

Comment Mr Rann.

i guess this is to stop people doing this, parking at the hospital then wlaking to the bus station.

But why would people walk that far when they have to walk past TTP parking to get to it. TTP has a limit of 4 hours parking dont they? Modbury hospital would have 3 hours?

Strange

Having worked in hospitals and had to deal with the pain and grief of relatives, I believe the last thing we should do is charge them to park when they visit, or when they are there while a loved one dies.
Any new hospital design and location should factor this need in.
