Road Safety Minister Tom Kenyon must explain whether Labor tolerates knobs, roosters or wankers in Government.
Mr Kenyon has announced a new road safety campaign targeting “knobs, roosters or wankers” on our roads.
“South Australia’s roads are deteriorating and our road maintenance backlog is $200 million – perhaps Mr Kenyon should focus on reducing this backlog,” Shadow Road Safety Minister Mark Goldsworthy said today.
“Mr Kenyon must also tell South Australians whether this crass style of advertising is a high priority when our road maintenance backlog is so high.
“I’m sure a number of South Australians will be offended by radio, television and online advertising featuring the words “knobs and wankers”.
“Of course, former Road Safety Minister Tom Koutsantonis was forced to resign from this portfolio for his more than 60 road and traffic offences.
“Mr Kenyon should explain whether Mr Koutantonis is a “knob or wanker”.
“Has Mr Kenyon sat down with Mr Koutsantonis and counselled him about his poor track record on our roads?
“If not, perhaps he should and tell Mr Koutsantonis he is a “knob or wanker” for his past behaviour on our roads.
“Mr Kenyon has quite the affinity with crass language – who could possibly forget his crude message to South Australians on election night last year?”
