Abbott's Gone!

Abbott's Gone!

Postby BenchedEagle » Mon Jul 04, 2011 10:33 am

Wheels are falling off.
Gagged his alternative front bench, answering media with 1 message and will not respond to any questioning outside that message, Media pissed off and turning against him, moderates and Far right pissed off with him.

His days are numbered. I give him a month before he is successfully challenged.

But i still believe he wont take them to next election. When the Crabon Price/ETS details are released, hes gonna be hard pressed to back up the blatant lies he's had free reign to peddle for the last 6 months. Labor will gain a bit of traction back and Abbott will be shunted. Put my house on it

Petrol prices are not going up?

My mail is that the Carbon Price applies to the heavy vehicles that move the Petrol and to the Electricity bills of both the refinery and the local servo. Who do the oil companies and servo owners pass these increased costs on to? Are the Federal Government just going to cut them a cheque so that the manufacturing componant cost of the petrol is not raised at the pump?

the only reduction going on is the public's confidence in the politicians who are employed to look after our best interests and all seem to fail miserably

If there was an election right now, Abbott would be the new PM.

Over the next little while before the next election, he will need to make a major stuff up (highly likely) and that will need to be coupled with Labor showing complete unity and no havoc amongst the rank and file (highly unlikely) to avoid Abbott being the next PM.

The only technical way this can be avoided is if Julia jumps/gets pushed prior to the election, and someone else is instilled.

If Gillard carries Labor to an election, then the Liberal leader (likely Abbott, though maybe Hockey) will be the new PM.

Much prefer gillards hoons trying to do something for the long term good rather then Tony Abbott reshooting press conferences on work sites to get his corny one liners across.

yep and you are a prime example of why not every one should be entitled to vote.

why would that be? Maybe the politics courses I did at uni. Maybe my decision to actually have an opinion. Can't go against the right because then you just become some left wing loony. Liberal party had it to
Good for too long and when they don't like something they call for the whole country to have a pointless plebisite. You get your say in two years time, until then don't go around espousing your views on who should get to vote and who shouldn't.

I may be mistaken, but once you reach a certain age in this country, you have the RIGHT to vote.

If you don't think this is acceptable, there is a few countries where you can go... ;)

The hard-right always do this. When their mob are getting voted into govt it's great, the people know what they're doing etc but as soon as the ALP get in they start crying about compulsory voting ala Nick Minchin.
